Port Salut Argentino light cheese is a typical variety of soft cheese produced in Argentina made with cow milk, and in this work has the addition of milk protein concentrate (MPC). Aroma and flavor are the most important food quality criteria, in fact it is generally accepted that the volatile profile reflects the image of the smelting and aroma of cheeses.

The essential oil (EO) of Cota tinctoria var. tinctoria was analyzed using GC-FID / MS. A total of 51 compounds were determined from this taxon, accounting for 99.79% in hydrodistillation. Monoterpenes were the primary chemical class for the volatile organic compounds in the EO (36.1%, 13 compounds). Borneol (18.1%), camphor (14.9%), and β-pinene (11.3%) were the major components in the EO of C. tinctoria var. tinctoria.

Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) is a unique vegetable-fruit possessing several multifarious health benefits. In this study, the plant extraction obtained from grafted bitter gourd onto pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima) and nongrafted bitter gourd cultivated under greenhouse conditions were evaluated for their constituents of volatile compounds. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPMEGC-MS) techniques were employed to determine these compounds in the leaves (young, middle, and old-age) and fruits (unripe and ripe) of bitter gourd.

In this study, graphene nano particles were synthesized chemically - modified Hummer method and used as the adsorbent to remove toluene and benzene in environment. Obtained nano adsorbents were characterized using Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared resonance spectroscopy (FTIR), BrunauerEmmett-Teller analysis (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

While petrochemical industry plays an important role of economic development in Kaohsiung city, it releases significant emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are major precursors for surface ozone and secondary organic aerosol (SOA). This study characterizes ambient VOCs at different heights in Renwu industrial district, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Secondary metabolites approach to study the bio-efficacy of Trichoderma Asperellum isolates in India
10 isolates of Trichoderma asperellum was used for characterization of secondary metabolites through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis to establish valid correlation between the production of antifungal metabolites and their bio-efficacy as BCAs. The investigation revealed that the culture filtrate of T. asperellum isolates were showed the presence of 673 secondary metabolites at different retention time with a range of 39 (Ta20) to 101 (Ta-12) with GC-MS.

The mixture of volatile organic compounds in the headspace gas of urine may be able to distinguish lung cancer patients from relevant control populations. Methods: Subjects with biopsy confirmed untreated lung cancer, and others at risk for developing lung cancer, provided a urine sample. A colorimetric sensor array was exposed to the headspace gas of neat and pre-treated urine samples.

Fluorescent pseudomonad bacteria, a major constituent of Rhizobacteria, enhance the plant growth through diverse mechanisms. The association between plant and fluorescent pseudomonad bacteria contributes to the successful thriving of plants in extreme environments featured by moisture stress. The enzyme has been noticed in a few numbers of bacteria and which helps the plant growth and development during biotic and abiotic stress situations with the depletion of stress levels of ethylene production in plant system.

Peaches are consumed worldwide and have great market demand. Compared to apricots, the volatiles defining the typical peach aroma are still poorly analytically characterized. The aim of our study was to determine the impact of the stage of ripening, sample storage conditions, and type of fiber coating and extraction glassware on peach aroma compounds.

In 1996, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Mexico s Petr leos Mexicanos (PEMEX) began sponsoring this project to characterize the nature and sources of suspended particulate matter found in the ambient air in Mexico City. This collaborative effort follows another program sponsored by DOE and PEMEX in the early 1990 s to study gas phase pollutants and photochemical oxidants in the Valle de Mexico. 3,4 The high altitude, the year- round sunshine, and the complex atmospheric chemistry characteristic of Mexico City create a challenging laboratory for scientific research.

Copper fungicides are environmentally unfriendly. They are very toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates, such as crab, shrimp and oysters. There are cases where most animal life in soil, including large earthworms, have been eliminated by the extensive use of copper-containing fungicides in orchards. It is strongly bioaccumulated and is very persistent. Once a soil is contaminated with copper, there is no practical way to remove it. The organic insecticide rotenone has been found to be toxic to pigs, rats and dogs and is is very toxic to fish. It causes skin and eye irritations.
