The electrocatalytic conversion of carbon dioxide (CO2) into valuable chemicals presents a promising strategy for closing the carbon cycle. In this study, we synthesized zinc (Zn) catalysts through hydrothermal methods using either polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) or cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as stabilizing agents. These catalysts proved highly efficient in converting CO2 into carbon monoxide (CO).

This work aims to investigate the mechanism of Pd nucleation and growth onto glassy carbon electrode from ChCl/urea/palladium mixture at room temperature using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry (CA) techniques. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to examine the crystalline structure, morphology and compositions of deposited Pd samples.

Bisulfate intercalated graphites with different particle sizes were prepared by a chemically oxidative method using natural flaky graphites as raw materials. This study is the first report on antioxidant activities and chemical composition of S. cambodianum Baill. ethanolic leaf extract. The results showed that ethanolic extract had potent in vitro antioxidant activities in DPPH, ABTS•+ assays (the low concentrations of IC50 were 19.51 ± 0.78 μg/mL and 4.89 ± 0.07 μg/mL, respectively), and in RP, TAC methods (the Abs0.5 were 20.80 ± 0.26 μg/mL and 36.15 ± 1.03 μg/mL).

CuO nanoparticles were synthesized by alcohol-assisted hydrothermal method at various pH values, using sodium hydroxide as a precursor for pH control. The chemical composition, morphological and structural properties of the obtained CuO nanoparticles were investigated by the Raman and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopies, the field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and the X-ray diffraction.

The variation of the precipitated precursor with temperature, the influence of sintering temperature on structure and luminescence, the mineralization role of boric acid and the chemical reactions that occur with generation of precipitated precursors and upon heating to give luminescent solid solution products are mentioned.

This article, we present a thorough and straightforward hydrothermal method towards the production of reduced graphene oxide templated MIL-53(Fe) hybrids RGO@MIL-53(Fe). The structural characteristics of created hybrids were identified by using BET, FESEM, powder X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. Methylene blue (MB) dye (a model water pollutant) was used to evaluate H2O2-assisted photo-catalytic efficiency of RGO@MIL-53(Fe).

The article will be focused on methods of chemical modification of NR and the use of improved traditional fillers such as carbon black (CB) and silica. Modification reactions include epoxidation, hydrogenation, and grafting vinyl monomers onto NR molecules. Some methods of surface modification of NR film were also reviewed. This article presents computational insights into the geometric and electronic structures of NbSi4 −/0 clusters using density functional theory and the CASSCF/CASPT2 method. The anionic and neutral ground states are identified as the 1A′ and 2A′ states, respectively, within a trigonal bipyramidal isomer where the Nb atom occupies the equatorial position. The adiabatic detachment energy for the transition from the anionic ground state 1A′ to the neutral ground state 2A′ is estimated to be 2.30 eV.

wo germacranolide sesquiterpenes, 9β-acetoxy-3-epi-nobilium, zoapatanolide B and four benzoate ester derivatives, benzyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6-methoxybenzoate, benzyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6- hydroxybenzoate, methyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosylbenzoate, ficuside G were isolated from aerial part of Sigesbeckia orientalis. Structural elucidation of the isolated compounds was done using a combination of HR-ESI-MS, one-dimensional and two-dimensional NMR spectral methods, and comparison their spectral data with the previous literature.
