  • This article show some screening results of children with disabilities in Quang Ngai province done byHanoi National University of Education with the technical and financial assistance of Christoffel-Blindenmission Christian Blind Mission (CBM) in Vietnam under the project: “Strengthening the capacity of inclusive education network for children with disabilities in Quang Ngai province, Vietnam”. From statistical data and survey indicated that the resource for early intervention and inclusive education in Quang Ngai need to be improved to meet the need of children with disabilities.

  • Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is an autosomal recessive inherited metabolic disorder caused by malfunction of the branched-chain α-ketoacid dehydrogenase complex (BCKDH). This enzyme complex participates in the catalyzing metabolisms of the branched-chain αketoacids, the second step of the degradation of branched-chain amino acids. Impaired activities of the BCKAD complex lead to an increase of the levels of branched- chain amino acid such as leucine, valine, and isoleucine in the blood.

  • Over the last decade, inclusion has become a world trend in special education. In response to that trend, the Vietnamese government has adopted a progressive policy to implement inclusive education. However, it is found there are barriers of implementing inclusive education in Vietnam emerged from school teachers educational facilities, mobility and physical environment and social attitude. Based on that, this paper attempts to give some suggestions for having strategies to promote implementation of inclusive education in Vietnam.
