  • We aimed to report a case of sarcoidosis presenting with atypical clinical findings that mimicked intraocular lymphoma. A 73-year-old female presented with flashes and decreased vision in her left eye over a 2-week period. The patient had no previous ocular medical history. Initial fundal examination revealed vitritis (vitreous inflammation) with retinal hemorrhage and subretinal yellowish lesions in the left eye.

  • A five years old Non-descript bullock was brought to the veterinary dispensary vadamathimangalam, Thiruvannamalai District, Tamil Nadu with a history of oral mucous membrane swelling. Clinical examination revealed about 2cm diameter black colored mass was observed below the last incisor of left lower jaw region. The mass was removed by surgical intervention and sent to Department of Veterinary Pathology, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai- 600007 for histopthological examination. Grossly the mass was about 2cm in diameter, spherical black colored firm nodule with smooth surface.

  • The aim of this study was to examine the clinical characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients who underwent cervical spine surgery using a multicenter observational database. Our study revealed that RA patients requiring cervical spine surgery have a higher disease activity (as represented by the DAS28-CRP) and are more functionally disabled (as represented by the MHAQ) than control patients.

  • This case report describes surgical removal of 3rd permanent corner incisor tooth along with hemorrhagic gingiva in buffalo caused due to oral trauma. The case was presented at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, International Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (IIVER) Rohtak Haryana, with history of drooling of saliva, anorexia, absence of mastication and bleeding from mouth. Clinical examination revealed traumatic and hemorrhagic swollen area in 3rd permanent corner incisor tooth gingiva of lower jaw. Swollen area was hard, hot, painful and hemorrhagic.

  • Three white female rats age approximately one year were presented with history of gradually increased swelling on thoracic region on left side and right side while other rat had mass on right side of neck. On the basis of history, clinical and ultrasonographic examinations diagnosed as a tumour and treated surgically under general anaesthesia. The histopathological examinations revealed fibroedinoma of mammary gland in two rats and a fibroma. All rats were recovered well without any complications.

  • The prevalence of asthma is sharply increasing in pediatric population and has become a global burden of medicine and economics. Nevertheless, evidence for the diagnostic criteria of this condition is still lacking. This condition leads to over-diagnosis of asthma in cases, especially younger children. Stridor and wheezing, pathologic signs of airway obstruction, are sometimes mistakenly identified. As a result, disorders of extra-thoracic airway obstruction may be misdiagnosed with intrathoracic diseases.

  • A six year old cow with growth on the left horn, with foul smell and bleeding was presented to clinics. On clinical examination the horn growth is characterised by granulation tissue at the base of the horn with offensive odour and was spongy, greyish white cauliflower like having rough and verrucous surface and was diagnosed as horn cancer. The horn tumor was removed surgically from the base and the animal was recovered uneventfully. The histopathology of the tumour revealed the squamous cell carcinoma.

  • The present case report explains a case of dystocia due to ringwomb and its treatment in an adult Corriedale ewe, which was presented to the clinic with a history of straining and dystocia. Clinico-vaginal examination revealed cervix with 2 finger dialation, intact fetal membranes and two live foetuses. Taking into account the time from initiation of parturition, size, number and the life of the fetuses, it was decided to perform caesarian section to deliver both the fetuses alive.

  • A four years old Golden Retriever bitch was presented for the treatment following complaint of protrusion of oedematous tissue through the vulva lip. Clinical examination revealed a pear shaped pendulous mass was hanging from the vaginal wall. The treatment involved application of antiseptic gel and amputation of the protruded mass. The bitch had completely recovered after the surgery with no recurrence of prolapsed at next season.

  • Accumulation of chyle in the thoracic cavity is called as chylothorax. A five year old male Rottweiler was presented to the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Maanuthy with the history of limb edema and labored breathing. On auscultation of lung crackles and high intensity sounds and muffled heart sounds were observed. Radiography confirms the presence of effusion in the thoracic cavity. Solitary Ventricular Premature Complexes were observed in the three-minute electrocardiographic examination. Thoracic ultrasonography revealed anechoic areas, which confirmed pleural effusions.
