The paper examines both the direct and indirect impact of implementing E-Supply Chain Management (E-SC) practices on performance of Omani manufacturing firms. A Structural Equation Modelling analysis was conducted based on a large scale survey applied to 108 manufacturing firms. Results of the research revealed that E-SC practices had a direct positive effect on both business and operational performance, where their direct effects on operational performance was stronger than their effect on business performance.

In the last decades, several papers have shown that quantum techniques can be successful in describing not only events in the micro-scale physical world – for which they were originally invented – but also in describing social phenomena, e.g., different economic processes. In our previous paper, we provide an explanation for this somewhat surprising successes. This research differs methodically from the classical application of DLOQ, which measures the absolute value of organizational learning. Therefore the members of business school were asked to evaluate changes in OL using DLOQ in comparison with the period prior to the reform. For that, the respondents were asked to rate the DLOQ characteristics on a scale from -3 to +3, where a negative score means that the characteristic has become worse after the reform and positive scores imply that they are now better.

In this study, PP fibers and air entraining admixture (AEA) were used together in an high performance concrete (HPC) mix so as to create interconnected reservoirs in concrete and to improve fire performance of HPC. For this reason, nine mixes of HPC incorporating blast furnace slag with 0.24 water-to-binder ratio and various PP and AEA contents were produced. Specimens were cast in two different sizes in order to see the effect of size and 18 series of specimens were obtained.

We present U BY, a large-scale lexicalsemantic resource combining a wide range of information from expert-constructed and collaboratively constructed resources for English and German. It currently contains nine resources in two languages: English WordNet, Wiktionary, Wikipedia, FrameNet and VerbNet, German Wikipedia, Wiktionary and GermaNet, and multilingual OmegaWiki modeled according to the LMF standard. For FrameNet, VerbNet and all collaboratively constructed resources, this is done for the first time.
