Cross-section and clinical record review study on 151 HIV-infected patients who were 18 years old or above on first-line antiretroviral therapy (1) for 18 to 36 months at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) in 2019. The study was performed among patients with vaginal infections attending OG Department of SRM Hospital, Kattankulathur. A total of 72 samples were collected, 40 samples were from symptomatic population and 32 samples were collected from age matched women without any symptoms. However no single bacteria were shown to be the primary cause of vaginitis. This study concluded that there was no significant difference in study and control population. In the future, by using molecular techniques, we may better diagnose each subtype of BV, and able to tailor treatment appropriately.

The bacteriological diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) is largely dependent on the Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) microscopy. This method has a low sensitivity, which can be improved by the concentration of the specimen with sodium hypochlorite or Bleach (NaOCl), followed by sedimentation after doing LED. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of bleach sedimentation technique in detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by LED microscopy. Diabetes mellitus is a global epidemic and diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of its serious complications. Diabetic foot infections are mixed bacterial infections and proper management of these infections requires an appropriate antibiotic selection based on the isolated organism. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the inflammatory disorders of the urinary tract caused by the abnormal growth of pathogens. Microscopy of urine is of diagnostic value and culture is still the gold standard for isolation of bacteria. However presumptive approach with non -culture rapid screening tests is more practical and cost-effective to manage UTI. Macrolide lincosamide streptogramin B (MSLB) antibiotics can be used in such scenarios with clindamycin being the preferred agent due to its excellent pharmacokinetic properties. The purpose of this study was to investigate canal configuration of mandibular first premolars in an Egyptian population. Two hundred fifty human extracted mandibular first premolars were collected from Egyptian patients and a small hole in the center of the occlusal surface of each tooth was made perforating the roof of the pulp chamber. Teeth were decalcified by immersing in nitric acid and dehydrated in ascending concentrations of ethyl alcohol.
