This paper presents a system that combines torque control algorithms based on a back-propagation neural network (BP-ANN) and an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The BP-ANN uses a multi-layer structure where the input layer processes factors such as load torque, rotational speed, and stator current, hidden layers model complex nonlinear interactions, and the output layer predicts optimal torque for AFPMSM operation.

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are complex conditions that appear in any healthcare facility. They truly become an economic and financial burden for the family and healthcare service system, particularly in developing countries. Nurses directly provide care for patients because they can be the cause of the spread of HAIs in healthcare institutions.

Vietnam, a nation with a rich and complex history of migration and settlement, is home to 5 fundamental language families: Austroasiatic (AA), Tai-Kadai (TK), Austronesian (AN), SinoTibetan (ST) and Hmong-Mien (HM). Among them is the Austronesian, a language family substantial in island Southeast Asia (ISEA) but marginal in mainland counterpart (MSEA), constituted five Vietnamese ethnolinguistic groups. Here, we analyzed the control region, and the complete mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) of 121 individuals from 3 AN-speaking populations (Churu, Ede, and Giarai).

The study determines the predominant hydrogeological controls on salinity distribution and salinization/freshening, proposing conceptual models to explain the different vertical distributions of groundwater salinity at the coastline. An improved understanding of the sources of salinity and the hydrogeological controls will subsequently provide support for the future management of groundwater in the Western Port Basin, and serve as a template for how to unravel complex salinity distributions in coastal aquifers, and their relationships to palaeo- and recent geomorphological histories.

This thesis intends to develop application-level access control models to address several major security issues in enterprise environments. The first goal is to provide simple and efficient authorization specifications to reduce the complexity of security management. The second goal is to provide dynamic access control for Web service applications. The third goal is to provide an access control framework for Semantic Web services. In this thesis, an Authorization-Function-Based Role-based Access Control (FB-RBAC) model is proposed for controlling enterprise systems at the application level.

The aim of this study is to explore and develop methods of controlling colour while overcoming many of the inherent problems in the processing. Because to the enormous variety of paper available, testing for printing was narrowed to primarily 100% cotton papers. The negative was critical in realising the full potential of the salt prints tonal range. The film tested was limited by availability in the Australian market. The research into various films to create digital output negatives proved to be complex and time consuming.

The vacuolar H + -ATPase (V-ATPase) is a multimeric enzyme complex that acidi®es organelles of the vacuolar system in eukaryotic cells. Proteins that interact with the V-ATPase may play an important role in controlling the intracellular localization and activity of the proton pump. The neuroendocrine-enriched V-ATPase accessory subunit Ac45 may represent such a protein as it has been shown to interactwith themembrane sector of theV-ATPase inonlya subset of organelles.

Soluble methane mono-oxygenase (sMMO) ofMethylo-coccus capsulatus (Bath) catalyses the O2-dependent and NAD(P)H-dependent oxygenation of methane and numer-ous other substrates. During puri®cation, the sMMO enzyme complex, which comprises three components and has a molecular mass in excess of 300 kDa, becomes inac-tivated because of cleavage of just 12 amino acids from the N-terminus of proteinB, which is the smallest component of sMMOand theonlyonewithout prosthetic groups.

In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which uses the nonlinear pathway of arginine biosynthesis, the first two enzymes, N-acetylglutamate synthase (NAGS) andN-acetylglutamate kinase (NAGK), are controlled by feedback inhibition. We have previously shown that NAGS andNAGKassociate in a complex, essential to synthase activity and protein level [Abadjieva,A., Pauwels,K.,Hilven, P.&Crabeel,M. (2001) J.Biol.Chem.276, 42869–42880].

Anumber of cellular systems cooperate in redox regulation, providing metabolic responses according to changes in the oxidation (or reduction)of the redox active components of a cell. Key systems of central metabolism, such as the 2-oxo acid dehydrogenase complexes, are important participants in redox regulation, because their function is controlled by the NADH/NAD + ratio and the complex-bound dihydro-lipoate/lipoate ratio.

Four pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase and two pyruvate dehydrogenase phosphatase isoforms function in adjusting the activation state of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) through determining the fraction of active (non-phosphorylated) pyruvate dehydrogenase component. Necessary adaptations of PDC activity with varying meta-bolic requirements in different tissues and cell types are met by the selective expression and pronounced variation in the inherent functional properties and effector sensitivities of these regulatory enzymes. ...

The pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC) is subjected to multiple interacting levels of control in plant cells. The first level is subcellular compartmentation. Plant cells are unique inhaving twodistinct, spatially separated forms of the PDC; mitochondrial (mtPDC) and plastidial (plPDC). The mtPDCis the site of carbon entry into the tricarboxylic acid cycle, while the plPDCprovides acetyl-CoAandNADHfor de novofatty acid biosynthesis.

Antioxidant protein 2 (AOP2) is a member of a family of thiol-specific antioxidants, recently renamedperoxiredoxins, that evolvedas part of anelaborate systemtocounteract and control detrimental effects of oxygen radicals. AOP2 is found in endothelial cells, erythrocytes, monocytes, T andB cells, but not in granulocytes. AOP2 was found solely in the cytoplasm and was not associated with the nuclear or membrane fractions; neither was it detectable in plasma.
