Correlation with biochemical parameters

The aim of this study is to compare the levels of TNF-α in children with nephrotic syndrome and healthy control children and the correlation of TNF-α with clinical feature of NS. Fifty children with NS were divided into four groups: 14 steroid sensitive infrequent relapse (SSIFR), 12 steroid sensitive frequent relapse (SSFR), 9 steroid resistance (SR) and 15 newly diagnosis (ND) compared to twenty-five unrelated healthy children. The serum IL-13 levels for NS patients and healthy control children were measured by R&D quantitative ELISA kit.

The present study was conducted on estimation of biochemical parameters i.e. sugar content, gossypol content, protein content and oil content in 3 genotypes of Upland cotton grown in six environments. The results showed that The early sown condition was best for high seed germination (%), high sugar (%), protein (%), oil (%) and low gossypol (%). Early sown conditions were good for desirable biochemical parameters. Protein (%) was positively correlated with seed germination (%), whereas it was negatively correlated with sugar.

Biophysical parameters reflect the functional integrity of skin. Biomarkers LL-37 and HBD 2, 3 have broad spectrum amino acid activity that plays role in epithelial defense system.The aim of the present work was to find out exiting correlation between the isolated genera, biophysical parameters and biomarkers of skin.

Thirty four Plus Trees (PTs) of Azadirachta indica were screened based on the tree morphology and biochemical traits to identify the suitable source for high oil and azadirachtin contents in order to establish large scale industrial plantations. Significant was observed among 34 PTs for seed and biochemical traits. Maximum 100-seed weight (30.00g) and 100 kernel weight (12.00g) were recorded in NPT 7, while NPT 34 showed maximum oil content (42.81%) and maximum azadirachtin content was documented in NPT 11 (0.972%) followed by NPT 17 (0.970%).

Twenty four genotypes from germplasm were taken to evaluate oil content, oil stability index, erucic acid, total glucosinolate content, total protein content and phytic acid. The assayed genotypes contained 35.54% to 40.96 % oil content, 0.79 to 1.34 oil stability index, 0.31% to 49.79 % erucic acid, 16.20 to 103.96 μmol/g total glucosinolate content of defatted seedmeal, 34.86% to 38.79% protein content and 1.77% to 2.84% phytic acid. The objective of this work is to characterize and correlate the biochemical parameters for neutraceutical study in brassica.

The role of amino acids in diabetes mellitus and its metabolic traits have been suggested previously; however, studied to a very limited scale in the Saudi patient population. Patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus were included in the current clinical study. Sample was representative and in accordance with the national population distribution. Blood samples were drawn and assayed for glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein.
