Herein we reported a method for copper pivalate mediated, directed functionalization of ortho C−H bonds in (2- methylthio)aniline benzamides. Diaryl disulfides were used for thiolation, while successful phenoxylation was obtained with phenol as the coupling agent. Our report marks a rare example for flexible transformation of benzamide C(sp2 )−H bonds into the corresponding unsymmetrical diaryl ethers and thioethers.

In study "Determination of the optimal density contrast in the seafloor depth inversion from gravity anomalies using the Gravity-Geologic method on the central East Sea" the iteration method was applied to determine the optimal density contrast. Firstly, a density contrast is given. Then, the seafloor depths are calculated and compared with the shipborne depths. In the next step, change the density contrast and repeat the calculation. Finally, the optimal density contrast is determined corresponding to the smallest deviation between the gravity anomaly-derived depths and the shipborne depths.

Many carcinomas have recurrent chromosomal aneuploidies specific to the tissue of tumor origin. The reason for this specificity is not completely understood. Methods: In this study, we looked at the frequency of chromosomal arm gains and losses in different cancer types from the The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and compared them to the mean gene expression of each chromosome arm in corresponding normal tissues of origin from the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) database, in addition to the distribution of tissue-specific oncogenes and tumor suppressors on different chromosome arms.

This paper investigates the direct use values of melaleuca forests at U Minh Ha National Park. The market price method (MPM) was utilised to estimate the economic value. The functional integral method can be used in quantum mechanics to find the scattering amplitude for particles in the external field. We obtained the potential scattering amplitude from the complete Green function in the corresponding external field through solving the Schrodinger equation, after being separated from the poles on the mass shell, which takes the form of an eikonal (Glauber) representation in the high energy region and the small scattering angles.

Data clustering tools can uncover new knowledge to be used in cancer diagnosis and treatment. In this study, we proposed a novel method to cluster records of a relation. First, we designed an algorithm that calculates the similarity between record pairs of the relation, and then this similarity measure was used to generate a network corresponding to the relation.

A 22kV Daklak distribution grid – E471 line is studied. Tensegrity is a structural system constructed of tensile cables and compressive bars. This thesis proposes several general methods for creating tensegrity structures. The author has developed new methods for creating specific tensegrity cells and the corresponding computer code. Furthermore, the author has constructed various physical models to validate the methods. A proposal for an observation tower on top of the Eureka building in Melbourne has also been devised by the author.

In this study, archaeobotanical data were gathered from the Early, Middle, and Late Bronze Age layers (2400–1200 BC) of the Tatarlı Höyük exposed in the 2011–2012 excavation seasons in the Ceyhan district of Adana Province were evaluated. In 8 trenches relating to these periods, archaeological contexts such as inside areas, hearths, ovens, middens, ceramic pots, etc., as well as contexts with carbonized plant remains were recovered by using dry and wet sieving methods, corresponding in total to 90 soil samples.
