Cinnamomum balansae is an endemic, rare species of tree in Vietnam, was rated level EN by IUCN, VU by the Vietnam Red Book – 2007 and classified as group IIA by Decree 32/2006/NĐ-CP. Besides its natural regeneration capacity is very limited so conservation and development for this species are facing a big challenge of seedling shortages.

An experiment was carried out in the net house of department of Nematology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during rabi season 2017 to study the pathogenicity of Meloidogyne incognita on Coccinia indica. For that local variety of Ivy gourd cuttings were planted in 1kg capacity pot filled with sterilized soil. One-month old cuttings were inoculated with second stage juvenile of M. incognita in a logarithmic series of check, associated check, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 juveniles (J2 ) per pot. The plants were watered regularly.

The performance evaluation of the small engine operated sugarcane harvester was compared with the traditional method of harvesting. Harvesting of crop is one of the important agricultural operations. The availability and cost of labour during harvesting season is the serious problem. Timely harvesting of the crop is vital to achieve better quality and higher yield of the crop. To ensure efficient and timely harvesting operation manually drawn battery powered reaper was developed at CAET, JAU, Junagadh. Performance evaluation of developed machine was carried out at different forward speeds (0.8-1.2 km/h,1.3-1.7 km/h and 1.8-2.2 km/h) and different cutter bar speeds (200 rpm, 300 rpm and 400 rpm).

Energy requirement for cutting of different biomass materials depends on their properties and size which plays an important role in gasification process. In present study, the cutting energy required by the size reduction machine to cut selected different biomass materials viz., Pigeon pea stalk (Cajanus cajan), Cotton stalk (Gossypium hirsutum) and vilatyee babool (Prosopis juliflora) into different length of sizes viz., 25-50, 50-75 and 75-100 mm was assessed. And also their physico-chemical and thermal properties were determined using the standard procedure.

The side-shift offset rotavator was a newly introduced implement in the field of interculture operations, especially for the orchard crop. The commercially available implement was equipped with J shape soil cutting blades. Those blades were replaced with L shape blades due to their undesirable outcomes. The testing was carried out separately for both types of blades at a fixed tilling depth of 9.6 cm. In this study, the type of cutting blade, kinematic parameter and soil moisture were the considered as the explanatory parameters.

Podcasts are entering their second decade. However, this article does not present a chronological narrative of this history or focus groups exploring their effectiveness. Instead, this paper probes the enlivening capacity of podcasting when inserted into the much wider discourse of sonic media. My research probes the impact on teaching and learning when cutting away four of our five senses to focus on auditory culture, sonic media, hearing and listening. This research shows the value of ‘blind listening,’ cutting away the eyes and visual literacy, to activate more complex modes of learning.

The results showed that most of the hatcheries were at small and medium scales with capacity of about 10 millions post-larvae/year. Wild broodstocks were mainly used in the hatcheries with bodyweight of over 180 g each. Farmed broodstocks were also used in Ca Mau provine with 11% of hatcheries number.
