In recent times, the phase field method is a robust simulation tool that can predict crack formation and propagation in structures. In brittle and quasi-brittle materials, the strain tensor is decomposed into negative and positive parts corresponding to the compression and tension behaviors when the structure is loaded.

Recent works have showed that the secondary creep of concrete under sustained high load level of load-to-strength ratio is likely due to a strong coupling between damage and drying shrinkage, which locally occurs in the fracture process zone.

Ebook "Frictionless markets: The 21st century supply chain" proposes a third way: a 21st century model based upon an economic calculus that does assume that fossil fuels are rapidly depleting and the environment is being damaged, but does not assume that this means an end to growth, but rather, a beginning of opportunities. Frictionless Markets tells the story of why and how frictionless markets will exist by the year 2030.

This paper aims to develop a novel constitutive model dependent strain rate with free energy which is based on the model of damage and dissipation “plasticity-like”. Moreover, the effect of strain rate will be taken into account in critical driving force. The model can describe the superelastic behavior of SMA considering the effect of strain rate.

A damage diagnosis method for trusses based on incomplete free vibration properties utilizing ensemble learning, e.g. Extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), is presented in this work. Owing to the lack of measurement sensors, modal features are only measured at master degrees of freedom (DOFs) of a few first models instead of all DOFs of a structural system.

The purpose of this work is to offer a method for detecting structural damage utilizing the standardized index of the beam's deflection influence line difference as input data for the evaluation procedure. The displacement influence line used in the evaluation is calculated using the findings of the behavior analysis of the reinforced concrete beam's finite element model when subjected to a moving load.

Erosion is an environmental phenomenon, but due to human activities this phenomenon has led to many serious problems. With the aim of protecting soil resource, as well as circumscribe damages by erosion, so the study of applying USLE on assessing soil erosion at Lam Son headwater catchment was conducted. To reach the purposes, the content of the study focus on collecting data and using USLE, ArcGis software to form rainfall map, slope coefficient and slope length map, canopy cover coefficient map.

Lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) is prone to metastasis and likely to develop resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs. DNA repair has been reported to be involved in the progression and chemoresistance of LUSC. However, the relationship between LUSC patient prognosis and DNA damage repair genes is still unclear.
