Damage zone properties

Slope landslides are one of the natural hazards that are gradually appearing more and more in number and intensity, causing serious damage to people, property, and infrastructure. Many studies have shown that climatic factors such as rainfall and human activities are important causes of landslides.

In the present study, a new approach “damaged zone simulation (DZS)” is proposed based on the experimental and numerical data, for investigating the orthotropic damaged zone properties. Comparison with existing analytical data shows the capabilities of the presented approach.
