Many robust architectures are proposed, and among many techniques, Recurrent Neural Network – Transducer (RNN-T) shows remarkable success. However, with background noise or reverb in spontaneous speech, this architecture generally suffers from high deletion error problems.

In a previous study, we reported a similar finding in a rat tumor model for endometrial carcinoma (EC) and through developing a deletion map, narrowed the candidate region to 700 kb, harboring 19 genes.

Advances in genomics technologies are making it increasingly feasible to characterize breeding lines that carry traits of agronomic interest. Tobacco germplasm lines that carry loci designated VAM and va have been extensively investigated due to their association with potyvirus resistance (both VAM and va) and defects in leaf surface compounds originating from glandular trichomes (VAM only). Molecular studies and classical genetic analyses are consistent with the model that VAM and va represent deletion mutations in the same chromosomal region.

Here we use a model of stochastic birth and death for mapping gene family evolution onto a phylogeny, and show that it can be efficiently applied to multispecies comparisons. The model offers the opportunity for researchers to make stronger inferences regarding the role of natural selection and changing duplication and deletion rates in gene family expansion or contraction. The work is performed as a part of the first author’s MS thesis under the second author’s supervision.
