The experiment was carried out to find out the Evaluation of Number of leaves/plant of wheat crop as influenced by different irrigation methods and frequency of irrigation. The treatments comprised of two irrigation methods, four irrigation frequencies were evaluated in RBD (factorial) design with three replications.

A field experiment was conducted with two different potato (Solanum tuberosum) varieties (i.e. Ashoka and Jyoti) at “C” block farm of the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya at Kalyani during the period of November-March (2009-2010) to study the performance of different potato varieties under three different irrigation levels (I1, I2 and I3) with 30 mm irrigation depth.

The present study was conducted in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh to study the profile characteristics and Information Source Utilization Pattern of rain fed groundnut farmers. Ananathapur farmers are largely dependent on drought-prone, rain-fed agriculture; and mostly a single crop of groundnut is sown in about 8 lakh ha under such harsh and agro climatic conditions. Of its geographical area of 19, 13,000 ha, (largest in AP) 10, 00,000 ha are rain-fed. The present state of A.P has totally about 40 lakh ha under rain fed cultivation and 25% of it is in Ananathapur district.

Hypoxia causes injury and yield loss. Soil aeration has been reported to accelerate the growth of plants and increase crop yield. The aim of this study was to examine growth response of greenhouse-produced muskmelon to 3 levels of sub-surface drip irrigation (I), 3 different installation depths of drip laterals in the soil (D), and 4 levels of supplemental soil aeration frequency (A).

The primary need of water resource development in any area depends on estimation of rainfall at different probabilities for efficient planning and design of irrigation and drainage systems, command area development, soil and water conservation programmes and the optimum utilization of water resources in various agricultural production systems. The annual maximum daily rainfall data of 18 years (1991 to 2008) was obtained from ARS, Mulde. It was analyzed for maximum one day and extended days (up to 6 day) rainfall for Mulde.
