In this paper, a point-to-point positioning controller based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) is applied to a linear motion actuator using lead ball screw. In the design, the Extended State Observer (ESO) is adopted to the controller structure, and the ADRC is designed which consists of the ESO and the nonlinear PD controller to estimate and compensate the disturbances.

In this paper, a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller cascaded with a second-order lead-lag filter is proposed for unstable second-order process with time delay. On the basis of the internal model control (IMC) principle for the two-degree-of-freedom (2DF) control system, the proposed method can achieve the enhanced performance for both disturbance rejection and set-point tracking problems.

The robustness of the controller is also investigated by inserting perturbation uncertainty in all process parameters simultaneously. The results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed IMC-PID controller in both nominal and robust cases.

This study presents a Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative Acceleration (FOPIDA) controller design methodology to improve set point and disturbance reject control performance. The proposed controller tuning method performs a multi-objective optimal fine-tuning strategy that implements a Consensus Oriented Random Search (CORS) algorithm to evaluate transient simulation results of a set point filter type Two Degree of Freedom (2DOF) FOPIDA control system.

Based on a thing that it is difficult to choose the parameters of active disturbance rejection control for the non-linear ALSTOM gasifier, multi-objective optimization algorithm is applied in the choose of parameters. Simulation results show that performance tests in load change and coal quality change achieve better dynamic responses and larger scales of rejecting coal quality disturbances. The study provides an alternative to choose parameters for othe r control schemes of the ALSTOM gasifier.

The paper deals with a velocity control problem of a three-mass system. The equations of motion of the system with limited shaft stiffness and damping is derived via d’Alembert principle. Based on the system dynamics, an active disturbance rejection control is developed for the system via a support of an extended state observer.

This paper addresses an optimal cooperative tracking control method with disturbance rejection in the presence of no knowledge of internal dynamics for multi-nonholonomic mobile robot (NMR) systems.
