The studies involving water bugs (Hemiptera) biodiversity and ecology are very few and have mainly focused on taxonomy. We conducted research and evaluation of diversity indexes of water bugs (Hemiptera) in different landscapes including forest habitats, agricultural lands, ponds, streams from 16 sampling sites in Bac Kan, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh and Ha Tinh provinces. As a result, a total of 43 species of 23 genera of 10 families were recorded.

The study is based on time series data pertaining to the period 1996-2013. The data on value of exports/imports for India and world were collected from FAOSTAT database. The data was analysed using simple descriptive statistical tools. Simpson diversification index was used to measure the export import diversity and export performance ratio were calculated to find out the comparative advantage.

This thesis has proposed two systems: the RIM-OFDM system with diversity reception exploits simultaneously the frequency and spatial diversity to achieve better SEP performance than the conventional IM-OFDM with diversity reception; The RIM-OFDM system with CI attains higher reliability and flexibility than the conventional IM-OFDM-CI system. The low-complexity detectors were also proposed to reduce the complexity while still achieve nearly same performance of the ML detector.

Using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method for multi-index evaluation has special advantages, while the use of geographic information systems (GIS) is suitable for spatial analysis. Combining AHP with GIS provides an effective approach for studies of mineral potential mapping evaluation. Selection of potential areas for exploration is a complex process in which many diverse criteria are to be considered.
