Photocatalytic degradation proficiency was studied for bromothymol blue dye. Phytochemicals-coated Nickel Oxide nanoparticles demonstrated antibacterial properties against bacteria (gram negative strain of E. coli, Pseudomonas spp. and gram positive strain of Bacillus spp.) by showing highest zone of inhibition (19 mm, 22 mm, 15 mm).the antioxidant activity of the synthesized nanoparticles were also examined and the result show that the fabricated nanoparticles exhibited significant radical scavenging activity.

In the present investigation, the power conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells has been remarkably increased by incorporation of green synthesized silver nanoparticles into TiO2 photoanodes. Uniform silver nanoparticles were developed by treating silver ions with Peltophorum pterocarpum flower extract at room temperature.

Photo-sensitizers, usually organic dye molecules, are considered to be one of the most expensive components in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The present work demonstrates a cost effective and high throughput upcycling process on jackfruit rags to extract a natural photo-active dye and its application as a photo-sensitizing candidate on titanium dioxide (TiO2) in DSSCs.

Natural dyes are environmentally and economically superior to ruthenium-based dyes because they are nontoxic and cheap. In this study, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were fabricated using natural dyes light harvesting materials. The natural dyes were extracted from Acanthus sennii chiovenda flower and Euphorbia cotinifolia leaf.

A novel method for the determination of mercury(II) is suggested. The procedure is based on the formation of an ion associate between the bromide complex of Hg(II) and Astrazon Red 6B dye and vortex-assisted liquid–liquid microextraction of the ion associate formed, with subsequent spectrophotometric detection. The variables that affect the procedure, such as pH, the concentration of ligand and dye, the type and volume of extraction solvent, and the rate and time of vortex mixing, were optimized.

Carmoisine (E122) is a synthetic azo dye that is generally used to give a red color to food products. In this work, a sensitive and simple method was developed for the determination of carmoisine based on cloud point extraction. To obtain the optimum conditions for the extraction efficiency of carmoisine, the effects of different analytical parameters such as H2 SO4 concentration, concentration of Triton X-114, and equilibrium temperature were studied. The calibration graph was linear between 0.05 and 5.

The present work aimed to determine colorants used as food additives to confirm the gummy candy products authentication using a newly designed adsorbent in magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction. Nowadays, many kinds of synthetic dyes are widely added to food products and should be strictly monitored and regulated like other food additives.

The aim of our work is to study the dyeing properties of extracts from natural sources such as Papaver rhoeas by modifying the conditions of the dyeing process, choosing other substrates that could be pretreated by innovative and environmentally friendly processes. The results obtained show a fairly high fixation of the extracts on the natural and artificial fibers. The use of mordants allowed the dye to be better fixed on the dyed fibers and to give several shades to the fabric. The rate of essential oil contained in Papaver rhoeas was considered important by the Clevenger process.

Pigments are the chemical substances that absorb the light of visible region. Pigments are compounds that are widely used in industries. Non-toxic nature of pigment produced by a number of microorganisms make them ecofriendly for utilization in dye, foodstuff, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and other industrial purpose. Industrial production of natural food colorants by microbial fermentation has several advantages such as cheaper production, easier extraction, higher yields through strain improvements, no lack of raw materials and season independent.

In the present study, we report on the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using Tilia Tomentosa (Ihlamur) leaves extract followed by calcination at 400 C for 15 min. The prepared ZnO nanoparticles were characterized by XRD and SEM to study the phase and microstructure, respectively. The XRD analysis showed the absence of impurity peaks and the SEM image confirmed the spherical nature of the prepared ZnO nanoparticles with an average particle size of 80 nm.

In the present investigation a total of 100 faecal samples/rectal swabs were collected from dogs suffering with gastrointestinal disorders and showing the symptoms of canine parvovirus, like bloody diarrhoea, vomiting and pyrexia. The samples were tested initially with SYBR green dye based real time PCR with different combinations of the cycles and the results obtained were further confirmed by conventional PCR. We could able to standardize the real time PCR which was more helpful in screening of the faecal samples further in large numbers.

In this paper, we report on biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using Gracilaria corticata (Red seaweed) at room temperature along with photo-catalytic degradation of Malachite green dye. UV spectral analysis showed peak at 380 nm with special reference to the excitation of surfaces plasmon vibration by silver nanoparticles. The morphology of silver nanoparticles was found to be spherical and ranges about 100 nm as confirmed by HR-SEM. Positive zeta potential value of 7.7mV suggests that the nanoparticles are moderately stable in colloidal solution.

Although plants exhibit a wide range of dyes, not all of these pigments can exhibit as dyes. Jangali Pyaz commonly known as vanpyaz (Asphodellus tenufolium) is a weed plant which is shredded off as a waste was exploited as a source of natural dye for Tassar Silk with objective of standardizing conditions of extraction and dyeing, fastness properties, ecofriendliness and colour absorption. The optimum dyeing conditions were 4g concentration, 60 minutes extraction time and 75 minutes of dyeing time.

This study deals with Clitoria ternatea L. which is commonly known as 'butterfly pea' and „shankhapushpi‟, „Unchan‟ in Thailand, „Neel Aporajita‟ in Bangladesh is a climbing vine bearing purple or white flowers. It is a medicinal plant belonging to the family Fabaceae. In tropical Asia including India, the purple flowers are used for many medical purposes. The flower extract consists of antioxidant activity and protective effect. It has been commonly used as anti-stress, anti-depressant, anti-microbial, and in anti-inflammatory treatments.
