Experiment was conducted at Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Vegetable Science and Floriculture, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur during spring-summer 2016 and autumn-winter 2016-17 seasons to study the influence of spacing and pruning on growth characteristics, yield and economics of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) grown under protected environment.

Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) is the district level farm science institutes for speedy transfer of technology to the farmer’s fields. The study was conducted in Adilabad district of Telangana during the year 2015-16 to know the relationship between socio-economic characteristics with adoption behaviour of trained and general farmers in some adopted village of KVK system of Adilabad, Telangana. The present study was conducted to investigate the profile characteristics of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) beneficiaries of district Jabalpur (M.P.). One hundred and twenty beneficiaries from Majholi and Jabalpur blocks were selected on the basis of availability of highest beneficiaries of the PMKSY scheme. The study revealed that higher percentage of PMKSY beneficiaries were middle aged, educated up to high school, had medium size of land holding. Majority of the PMKSY beneficiaries were found different medium attributes viz.

In the present paper the year wise production and sales of organic inputs are taken into account to derive the total area and economic impact thereof. The receipts of produce sold at laboratories served as the source of information to the study. The results indicate that, the sale of inputs is on rise, so also the farmers who are adopting these technologies in their own field are also more. People are approaching KVK for these technologies. To increase the production of organic inputs KVK, Bagalkot is imparting the technologies of Vermicompost production (Biradar, 2006).

A comparative study of socio economic impact on Bt cotton and Non-Bt cotton was carried out in Warangal district of Telangana State during the year 2016. The study was conducted with the objective to evaluate the socio economic characteristics of both Bt cotton and Non-Bt cotton farm households. Jangoan block was purposively selected for the study as it was recorded as highest area under Non-Bt and Bt cotton cultivation. Total 120 farm households were surveyed for the study in which 60 farmers were selected from Bt cotton cultivars and another 60 from Non-Bt cotton.

A study was taken up among the farmers in the Tiruppur district to assess the determinants of gender in farming in dryland farming system. Totally three blocks were selected Purposively for the study in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu, The block such as Palladam, Pongallur, Kundadam have been selected. The present study was an attempt to assess the extent of utilization of IBDLP by Garo farm women in Garo Hills Of Meghalaya as IBDLP is a mission mode programme which focuses to alleviate the poverty and imparts knowledge to farm women through different training programme to become self-independent and increase their livelihood. The study was conducted in Latur district of Marathwada region. Population for the study comprised of respondents who were subscriber of Kisan Mobile Advisory Service in Latur district. From latur district Latur, Ausa and Renapur tahsils were selected purposively because more number of farmers in these tahsils were using KMAS. The present investigation was done to study the profile characteristics of rice farmers in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
