Ebok "Lithium-ion batteries: Science and technologies" contains an in-depth review of electrode materials, electrolytes and additives for LIB, as well as indicators of the future directions for continued maturation of the LIB. In developing electrochemical cells, one must keep in mind that the real goal is to package and control all the materials and components (cathode and anode active materials, electrolytes, separators, current collectors etc.) in a limited volume to enable maximum energy storage without creating any safety problems.

In the present investigation, GNS have been prepared by an aqueous anodic exfoliation of pencil graphite in an acidic medium at different dc voltages (5 Ve12 V). The GNS prepared at optimum voltage were mixed with polyaniline (PANI) polymer and drop casted on an indium tin oxide (ITO)/Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate to study the I-V characteristics and to measure the band gap of composites.

The reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) to products electrochemically (RCPE) in 0.5 M NaHCO3 and Na2CO3 liquid phase electrolyte solutions was investigated. Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) as anode and cuprous oxide (Cu2O) as the cathode were considered, respectively. The impacts of applied potential with time of reaction during reduction of CO2 to products were studied.

The electrochemical reduction of 2-[8-hydroxyquinoline-5-yl)azo]benzo[c]cinnoline was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, controlled potential electrolysis, and chronoamperometry techniques in the presence of 0.10 mol L−1 tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate in dimethyl sulfoxide at platinum electrode. 2-[8-Hydroxyquinoline-5-yl)azo]benzo[c] cinnoline displays three sharp cathodic peaks and three anodic peaks in the cyclic voltammogram. The diffusion coefficients and the number of electrons transferred were calculated by using an ultramicroelectrode and platinum electrode.

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was performed on tamoxifen (tam) using different electrodes and in various acidic electrolytes containing 10% v v−1 methanol (MeOH). Tam oxidation was found to be most favorable using 0.1 mol L−1 H2SO4. To investigate the mechanism, we performed chronoamperometry, CV at different scan rates, differential pulse anodic voltammetry (DPAV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy on tam-covered glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs). The electrode area, diffusion coefficient, and surface concentration (Γ) of tam were calculated to be 0.062 cm2, 3.65 × 10−6 cm2 s−1 , and 3.

A highly sensitive and simple method based on an ionic liquid/ex situ bismuth film-modified single-use pencil graphite electrode (IL/Bi/PGE) was offered for the electrochemical detection of cefixime (CEF) for the first time. The synergistic effects of the ionic liquid and bismuth film combination as the surface modifier remarkably improved the electrochemical response of the modified sensor. Anodic oxidation of CEF was observed at 0.9 V vs. Ag/AgCl/3 M KCl as one well-defined irreversible oxidation peak.

It is established that the oxidation current increases 1.85 times in comparison with untreated CPE. The adsorption nature of the anodic current and the number of electrons taking part in the oxidation of morin on ECA-CPE was established. The electrochemical activity of glycopyrrolate was studied. Different voltammetric techniques were applied in this study, including cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). Glassy carbon and platinum working electrodes were utilized. CV indicated that glycopyrrolate has a reversible redox reaction on the working electrode surface, with an anodic peak current at approximately 1.05 V and a cathodic peak at 0.80 V. Several parameters that affect the sensitivity of these methods were optimized for the quantitation of glycopyrrolate.
