A thermochemical model was developed to calculate the H2 adsorption isotherm of the original Mg-MOF-74 framework, and its computationally designed isoreticular employing the adsorption energies and vibrational frequencies obtained from density functional theory calculations as input variables. The present investigation was carried out to study effect of processing on the seeds which were used for inclusion in the energy bars of sports person. The seeds selected for the study were Flax, Chia, Pumpkin and Finger millet seeds. Proximate parameters and mineral estimation were done to assess the nutritional profile of all the seeds. The result shows that protein content of the seeds were increased significantly during germination while it was decreased significantly during roasting and popping.

In the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) process that converts ethylbenzene to styrene, vanadium-based catalysts, especially V2O5, are used in a CO2 atmosphere to enhance process efficiency. Here we demonstrate that the activation energy of V2O5 can be manipulated by exposure to high pressure CO2, using V2O5 nanowires (VON). The oxidation of V4+ to V5+ was observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The ratio of V4+/ V5+ which the typical comparable feature decreased 73.42%. We also found an increase in the interlayer distance in VON from 9.95 Å to 10.10 Å using X-ray diffraction patterns.

In this work, numerical simulations of fluid flow around trash-rack for different bar cross sections are conducted to investigate cross section influence on head losses. Comparison with experimental data is conducted to validate the usage of numerical simulations which enable investigation of great number of trash-rack configurations. In previous experimental studies researchers mostly focused on trashrack parameters (bar spacing, bar length, inclinations etc.) where bar cross section was mainly rectangular or streamlined shape.
