The study examines how Small-Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) demonstrate a range of innovation capabilities when they collaborate with a regional university research centre. This collaboration is shown to be important to create and exchange new knowledge to advance the firms innovation performance. The study demonstrates the ability of firms to acquire and exploit this knowledge, which is a business competency described as absorptive capacity (AC). AC relies on several antecedents or factors to engage with a collective learning process.

The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between psychological empowerment and employee creativity with the influence of creative process engagement and intrinsic motivation by testing the research model. Data were collected from in-depth interviews and surveys of 420 Vietnamese telecommunication enterprises employees. The results confirm that psychological empowerment has a positive direct and indirect relationship through creative process engagement and intrinsic motivation with employee creativity.

This research was carried out to analyze factors influencing the online purchase intention of customers in Ho Chi Minh City. Through the combination of qualitative research and quantitative research, the author conducted a survey of 226 customers who intended to engage in online purchase in Ho Chi Minh City. As can be seen from the research results, there were 5 groups of factors influencing the customers' online purchase intention, namely: (1) Perceived usefulness; (2) Perceived ease of use; (3) Perceived risk; (4) Subjective norm; and (5) Price expectation.

This paperstudies the overview of investment property accounting and the presentation of the fair value of investment property in Vietnamese enterprises. The research sample covers 68 enterprises engaged in investment property business in Hanoi. The research results show that 83.8% of enterprises do not present the fair value of investment property on their financial statements at the end of the accounting year. In addition, the results of the research also show necessary reasons to apply fair value accounting to the investment property.

Using qualitative and quantitative methods, this study investigates impacts of organizational culture on employee engagement in Vietnamese enterprises. The research model is based on Recardo & Jolly (1997) and Zain (2009) by adding an aspect of "leadership behavior" as one component of organizational culture. With the survey sample of 267 employees working in different types of Vietnamese enterprises, the empirical results show that nine aspects of organizational culture have strongly positive impacts on employee engagement.

This paper theoretically and empirically explores the reason why Chinese enterprises engage in inefficient investment from the government’s grabbing hand perspective on a large sample of 8501 firm-year observations between 2003 and 2011. The results suggest that influenced by the grabbing hand of local officials, private enterprises exhibit significantly higher investment distortion and inefficiency in terms of overinvestment and underinvestment than the enterprises controlled by the governments at all levels.

This study examines the determinants of nonfarm participation and the effect of nonfarm employment on household income among ethnic minorities in the Northwest Mountains, Vietnam. The logistic regression analysis shows that education and the availability of local enterprises or trade villages, notably among other factors, have a significantly increasing impact on the likelihood of taking up wage employment, while the presence of paved roads gives households more chance to engage in nonfarm self-employment.

Quantitative research results showed 4 factors affecting the employee engagement in SMEs including employee age, time worked in business, human resource training, and fair assessment.
