  • In Rajasthan mungbean is grown over 790185 hectare with the production of 23426 tonnes. Jaipur district has 60624 hectare area under mungbean cultivation and production 9579 tonnes, which is nearly 4.09 per cent of total mungbean production in Rajasthan (Annoymous, 2012-13). The productivity of Jaipur district is 158 kg/ha. There is a wide scope to improve and increase the mungbean production and productivity by enhancing the knowledge and adoption of recommended production technology by farmers.

  • A study was conducted among 240 farmers sampled from Jaipur and Ajmer district of Rajasthan state. Indigenous practices were documented the interview schedule regarding indigenous knowledge about agriculture practices was developed. The interview schedule was developed by investigator through reviewing the available literature, consulting experts of different discipline of agriculture and by discussing with farmers. Finding of the study revealed that summer ploughing was diploid by highest number of farmers (92.66%); seed soaking in water was the most common practice.

  • The present study was conducted to ascertain the socio economic personal antecedents of the dairy farmers of Jaipur district of Rajasthan. There are total thirteen tehsils in Jaipur district, out of which four tehsils Viratnagar, Shahpura, Chmou and Phulera were randomly selected. Five villages from each tehsil were also randomly selected. For selection of respondent’s twelve farmers who possess at least 5 milch (dairy) animals either cattle or buffalo and both practicing dairy farming were selected randomly from each village as respondents for the study.

  • The study attempts to investigate the social status and husbandry practices of pig farmers in Jaipur and Alwar district of Rajasthan state, where 10 organized and 20 unorganized farms were selected. Population and production trend of pig husbandry in India and around the world reveled that pig population in India had consistently decreasing trend from 13.29 million (1997) to 10.29 million (2012) whereas world population showing increasing trend from 830.37 million to 969.89 million.

  • Solar energy technology is very important tool which can lowers worldwide carbon emissions. The present study was conducted in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. There are total sixteen tehsils in Jaipur district of Rajasthan, out of which, two tehsils namely Chomu and Amber were selected on the basis of maximum number of installed of solar pump. Ten villages from each selected tehsils were selected randomly by using proportional allocation technique. One hundred twenty (120) farmers were selected from twenty selected village by using proportional allocation technique.

  • The study revealed that majority of livestock farmers had favourable attitude (73.33%) towards dissemination of information through different ICT tools in livestock sector followed by 15.83 per cent with more favourable attitude and 10.83 per cent with less favourable attitude. Age, family size, land holding, herd size, extension contact and social participation had positive and non-significant relationship with attitude of livestock farmers towards ICTs, while experience in livestock farming had negative and non-significant relationship.
