Female respondents were selected randomly

Present study was undertaken on availability and accessibility of different ICTs hardware. A total of 200 samples were taken for the present study, i.e., 100 male respondents and 100 female respondents. The respondents were selected from three villages through random sampling method. The results revealed that 84 per cent of the male respondents have mobile phones of their own whereas, 81 per cent of the female respondents have mobile phones of their own.

A sample of 120 female respondents were randomly selected from 6 mandals of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh and interviewed to understand the importance and involvement of rural women in different activities relating to livestock farming and to study the impact of various socioeconomic factors on women’s participation.

The study was conducted in purposively selected districts i.e. Fatehabad and Sirsa of Haryana, during 2014-15. Two blocks from each districts and one village from each selected blocks were selected and a proportionate sample of 60 male and 60 female respondents were selected randomly from the selected villages. The pre-exposure knowledge about recommended practices in cotton cultivation was assessed and respondents were exposed to the prepared and standardized media and the gain in knowledge after media exposure was tested.

Pig farming is dispensable to the tribal folks of Manipur, India. In this study, we tried to establish baseline information on the socio-personal and socio-economical status of small scale tribal pig farmers in the state. Altogether, 400 tribal pig farmers, rearing ≥ 2 pigs were selected randomly and interviewed from 4 blocks of Senapati district, Manipur. The study showed that majority of tribal pig farmers (69.75%) belonged to middle age groups (31-50 years), followed by 19.25% young age groups (up to 30 years), and 11% old age groups (> 50 years), respectively.

he study was conducted to investigate the socio - economic profile of the selected pulses growing farmers in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana state. The state of Telangana was selected purposively for the study as the investigator hails from the state. Out of 31 districts of Telangana state, Mahabubnagar district was selected purposively for the study. In this district, the blocks recorded highest area was selected. In each block two villages with highest area under cultivation of particular crop were selected.

The present study was conducted in Udaipur District of Rajasthan state. The purpose was to know drudgery faced by farm women in agricultural activities in this area. For this study, two tehsils namely Girwa and Vallabhnagar were purposively selected on the basis of the maximum female population in the district, from each tehsil 5 villages were selected on the basis of maximum female population so, total 10 villages from both tehsils were selected and from each tehsil 10 respondents were randomly selected.

To study the knowledge of dairy animal owners in improved dairy husbandry practices a field survey in Bihar state was conducted during April-June’2016. Data were collected through personal interview from randomly selected 1550 dairy animal owners from randomly selected villages from Chhapra, Vaishali district of Bihar with the help of pretested structured schedule. Survey indicates that the 71.67 percentage of the livestock farmers belonged to middle age category range from 35-50 years, followed by 15.00 percent in young age category and 13.33% belonged to old age category.
