SEM and TEM were used to evaluate the surface morphology and microstructure of the fiber membrane. Ultraviolet spectrophotometry was used to detect drug release. A LIVE/DEAD Viability/Cytotoxicity Kit and fluorescence staining were used to detect cell morphology and activity. Alkaline phosphatase and calcium mineralization deposition were used to evaluate the osteoinductive activity of the scaffold. Dynamic mechanical analysis was used to determine the Young’s modulus, maximum load, and maximum elongation of the prepared scaffold.

Improving the yield and fiber quality of upland cotton is a goal of plant breeders. However, increasing the yield and quality of cotton fibers is becoming more urgent. While the growing human population needs more cotton fiber, climate change is reducing the amount of land on which cotton can be planted, or making it difficult to ensure that water and other resources will be available in optimal quantities.

Cotton fiber is a model system for studying plant cell development. At present, the functions of many transcription factors in cotton fiber development have been elucidated, however, the roles of auxin response factor (ARF) genes in cotton fiber development need be further explored.

Cotton fibers provide a powerful model for studying cell differentiation and elongation. Each cotton fiber is a singular and elongated cell derived from epidermal-layer cells of a cotton seed. Efforts to understand this dramatic developmental shift have been impeded by the difficulty of separation between fiber and epidermal cells.

Basic helix-loop-helix/helix-loop-helix (bHLH/HLH) transcription factors play important roles in plant development. Many reports have suggested that bHLH/HLH proteins participate in brassinosteroid (BR) hormone signaling pathways to promote cell elongation.

Cotton, Recombinant inbred lines (RIL), phenotypic (PCV) and There is a limited genetic variability available in genetic resources of upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.), which restricted the breeding activity. The objective of present study was evaluating the genetic variability in RIL population derived through intraspecific hybridization between RHAP 12 and RHAP 15 genotypes. The 222 RIL were evaluated during kharif 2018 at University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad.

This paper presents the comparative results of a current study on unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) matrix composites processed by filament winding method, with cotton spun yarn of different mass irregularities and two different volume fractions. Physical and mechanical properties were measured, namely ultimate stress, stiffness, elongation%. The mechanical properties of the composites increased significantly with the increase in the fiber volume fraction in agreement with the Counto model.

In this study, the air-plasma generated by radio-frequency was used to treat bamboo fiber. The treatment parameters were studied to find the suitable condition. The testing on tensile strength, tensile modulus, module Weibull and elongation to break of the fiber, the measurement of contact angles and the SEM analysis showed that at the high frequency of 12 kHz, power 50 W and treatment time of 5 minutes, after air-plasma treatment the tensile strength and tensile modulus of bamboo fiber increased more than double (101.1% and 101.
