The material for the present study consisted of 30 F4 families of bhendi, to assess the genetic components for growth and yield at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture and Research Institute, Karaikal, UT of Puducherry, India. The mean values and ranges recorded for various traits under study revealed significant variation. The maximum range of variability was observed for fruit yield plant-1 (148.0 to 377.31 g), followed by plant height at final harvest (76.56 to 160.40 cm).

An experiment was carried out to study the interaction of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, Paecilomyces lilacinus, Pochonia chlamydosporia, Trichoderma viride, Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas fluorescence on the growth of black gram. This study was done to investigate the role of some bacterial genera as biocontrol agent against Meloidogyne incognita. Paecilomyces lilacinus significantly increased the growth parameters of the black gram viz.

M. dubia growth and yield performance was evaluated using Randomized Block Design with 10 treatments. There was significant variation in tree height (m), girth at breast height (GBH) (cm), and standing volume (m3 /tree or /ha) and biomass (kg/tree or t/ha), at SSG intercropping (July, 2019) and final SSG forage harvest (November, 2019), among the silvi-pasture (T1 to T5) and sole plantation (T6 to T10) systems.

The efficiency of a breeding programme depends mainly on the direction and magnitude of the association between yield and its components and also the relative importance of each factor involved in contributing to grain yield. The path analysis provides an effective measure of direct and indirect causes of association and depicts the relative importance of each factor involved in contributing to the final product.

In the wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process, the geometry of single welding beads has significant effects on the stability process and the final quality and shape of manufactured parts. In this paper, the geometry of single welding beads of 308L stainless steel was predicted as functions of process parameters (i.e. welding current I, voltage U, and travel speed v) by using the response surface methodology (RSM). A set of experimental runs was carried out by using the Box-Behnken design method.

The proposed models are used to study the effect of the LDS parameters on the groove dimensions (width and depth), lap dimensions (groove lap width and height) and finally the heat effective zone (interaction width), which are important to determine the line width/space in the MID products and the metallization profile after the metallization step. We also study the relationship between the LDS parameters and the surface roughness which is very important factor for the adhesion strength of MID structures.

The experiment was conducted during summer season of 2005-06 at GBPUA&T, Pantnagar to study the effect of biofertilizers (Azotobacter, Azospirillum, PSB and VAM) on growth and yield attributes of tomato. Significant difference was found for plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, stem diameter, fruits per plant and yield while plant height, days to first harvest, days to final harvest and number of primary branches was showed nonsignificant difference.

Correlation and path analysis were carried out in 16 genotypes of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) for different yield attributing traits. Among twelve different parameters to differentiate the contribution made by each parameter in the final flower yield. The results revealed that the genotypic correlations were higher than the phenotypic correlations for the characters studied, indicating the high heritable nature of the characters. The genotypic correlation of flower yield per plant was showed highly significant and positive correlation with leaf area (0.

The investigation entitled Studies on the effect of nitrogen levels on growth, yield and quality of red cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata f. rubra) was carried out in Rabi season 2018-2019 at Mango Research Station, Nuzvid, Krishna Dist. (A.P.). Study included four levels of nitrogen (80, 120, 160 and 200 Kg Nitrogen per hector) each replicated thrice in FRBD. Nitrogen levels significantly influenced the growth, yield and quality parameters at all the growth stages. Among all the treatments, significantly highest plant height (34.93 cm), plant spread (53.

The experiment was carried out in Factorial Randomized Block Design with sixteen treatments. The treatments were comprised of combination of four levels of both the micronutrients i.e., Boron (0 %, 0.2 %, 0.3 % and 0.4 %) and Zinc (0 %, 0.4 %, 0.5 % and 0.6 %). Overall, there were sixteen treatment combinations randomly allotted to different plots.

Kachchh, the largest district of Gujarat has very fragile environment and poor natural resources. Under such conditions, the cultivation of perennial component of vegetation, particularly the fruit trees, would provide opportunity for sustainable source of livelihood to the inhabitants of the region. Kachchh has about 18 percent potential area to grow fruit trees but under the aforesaid environment and edaphic conditions, the establishment, growth and economic life remain poor.

Zubkov et al. (2000) found that Prochlorococcus spp. were the dominant cyanobacteria in the northern and southern Atlantic gyres and the equatorial region, giving way to Synechococcus spp. in cooler waters. Synechococcus cells also become more numerous and even reach blooming densities near the tropical region affected by the Mauritanian upwelling. Finally, the concentrations of Picoeukaryotes tend to be at their height in temperate waters.
