The paper "Static bending analysis of FGM stiffened plate resting on discontinuous elastic foundation" uses the finite element method to study the static bending response of stiffened FGM plates resting on a discontinuous elastic foundation. The structure is computed using the first-order shear deformation theory coupled with the four-node and two-node quadrilateral elements.

The article "Static behavior of FGP half-annular nanoplates resting on elastic foundation using nonlocal elasticity theory" presents an algorithm finite element for static bending analysis of the functionally graded porous (FGP) half-annular nanoplate resting on the elastic foundation (EF) using nonlocal elasticity theory. The FGP materials with two-parameter are the volume fraction index (k) and the porosity volume fraction (5) in two cases of even and uneven porosity. The EF includes Winkler-stiffness (k₁) and Pasternak- stiffness (k₂).

In the paper "Nonlinear static analysis of bidirectional functionally graded sandwich plates using a higher-order finite element formulation" the nonlinear static behaviors of bidirectional functionally graded sandwich (BFGSW) plates are investigated using a finite element procedure. The plates consist of three layers, a homogeneous core and two bidirectional functionally graded face sheets. A nonlinear finite element formulation in sense of the von Karman nonlinear strain-displacement relation is derived in the basis of a higher-order shear deformation theory.

The paper "The behavior analysis of bolted end-plate connections under static load by using finite element method" investigates the mechanical behavior of bolted end-plate beam-to- column connections with changes of thin of end-plate and size of bolts under bending moment. The finite element models are generated in ANSYS software, in specially all of meshes are hexahedral meshes as well as be continuous at welding. The results obtained from this study are validated based on three factors: loading capacity, moment resistance and joint rotation.

In this study, rectangular plates subjected to static loads and supported on a discontinuous two-parameter elastic foundation are analyzed. The formulae for the computations are developed from improved shear deformation theory, where the displacement w is divided into bending and shear strain components.

In this paper, the mechanical behavior of symmetric FGM sandwich beams where each component layer is made from different funtionally graded materials and conected to one another by shear connectors is carried out. The finite element formulations are constructed based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) of Timoshenko for beam and finite element method. The calculation program is coded in the MATLAB environment and compared the results with particular cases.

This paper presents the numerical result for the static bending analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) box by using the finite element method (FEM). The authors code the calculation program in MATLAB software and checked the established program by comparing it with other published works. In addition, the effects of some geometrical and material parameters on the static bending analysis of FGM boxes are investigated in detail.

This paper presents a static analysis and parameter optimization for the xed-guided beam exures via using the pseudo-rigid-body model and a fmincon algorithm. The Finite Element Method (FEM) of the xed-guided beam also has been used to verify the maximum stress and the x−direction displacement. Modi ed pseudorigid-body model (M-PRBM) is also applied to signi cantly enhance the accuracy of the maximum stress value. The results show that the averaged errors of maximum stress between MPRBM and FEM are 3.48% for aluminum, and less than 10.9% for titanium, carbon steel, and alloy steel.

In general, the fluctuation of the elastic modulus of materials is crucial in structural analysis. This paper develops a stochastic finite element method (SFEM) for analyzing a nonuniform column considering the random process in elastic modulus. This random process of elastic modulus is assumed as a one-dimensional Gaussian random field. The weighted integration method is used to discretize the random field and establish the stochastic finite element formulation to compute the first and second moments of displacement fields.

For designing, a 3D CAD model is created by using SOLIDWORKS. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Static as well as product life analysis are carried out in ANSYS to understand its behavior under operating conditions. The target is weight reduction without compromising on the structural strength i.e. an optimum minimum factor of safety (FOS). The designing process also keeps a check on design feasibility.
