In this paper, the research done is about the risk distribution model estimation on health insurance claims using Bayesian. The objective is to derive a health insurance risk model and determine the amount of net premium for each insured age group in health insurance. The sample of this study is the participant of health insurance in the Bandung area, Indonesia, especially for the insured who live in flood-prone areas.

The spillway is one of the most important construction components in the irrigation system; it is the key to ensuring the safety of the reservoir. In this study, the 3D-Fluent numerical model is used to simulate the hydraulic regime in the Ta Hoet spillway. The 8 simulation cases include different gate opening modes and variable flood flows.

This study investigates the impact of climate change (CC) on water resources in Phu Yen province, Vietnam by assessing historical trends of temperature, rainfall and flood simulation scenarios from a report of Vietnam of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2020. The method for assessing the impacts on water resources was provided in the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2007.

Flood is one of the most commonly occurring forms of natural disaster which damage to environment and society. In order to contribute to the work of mitigating the effect of climate change as well as floods' damage, this study introduces a method to simulate discharge with respect to design storm through hydrological modeling system (HMS).

Flood is a natural disaster that can cause loss of life and damage to property. The objective of this study is to create a flood map of Yen Bai city, where flood occurs regularly during heavy rain and Thao River's water level rises. The study used Mike Flood model based on the connection of 1D and 2D hydrodynamic models.

Floods cause not only damage but also public health issues. Developing an application to simulate public health problems during foods around the Loei River by implementing geographic information system (GIS) and structural equation model (SEM) techniques could help improve preparedness and aid plans in response to such problems in general and at the subdistrict level.

In urban areas, flooding can be very serious due to high population density and important infrastructure. As rainfall data at high temporal and spatial resolutions are required as input for urban flooding forecast, in this study, the Weather Research and Forecasting model (WRF) with four nests, two-way interaction is used to simulate the heavy rainfall event in Hanoi from 30/10/2008 - 01/11/2008 to investigate model ability on generating rainfall data on high temporal and spatial resolutions.

This paper presents the research results of theoretical model and numerical model of the washed-out process of alkylphenols in the late stage of water injection. The research results have proposed approximate analytical expression for concentration of alkylphenols at the late stage of water flooding. In this regard, at the sufficient large injection volume the alkylphenol concentration attenuates exponentially and the attenuation rate depends on parameters such as partitioning coefficient, oil saturation and interstitial velocity of water and oil and diffusion coefficients.

Flooding caused by historically high flows, especially in Tra Khuc-Ve River basin in the Mid-Central region in Vietnam in November 2013, which caused widespread damage. The purpose of this paper was to establish the inundation maps in the downstream part of Tra Khuc-Ve rivers by using the coupling of the hydrological and hydraulic models (MIKE SHE/MIKE 11 and MIKE 11 GIS). Calibration and validation of the hydrological model were in good agreement in terms of the vibration amplitude, absolute value, and phases.

In this research, the numerical model MIKE URBAN is used to simulate the rainfall-runoff, routing and surcharge processes in Yen Hoa - Hoa Bang areas. Water depth and flood durations are indicators to assess the performance of the proposed solutions. The result of this research indicates that the renovation of the drainage system, i.e. enlargement in conduits’ diameter, can reduce inundation time significantly

While construction of the Aswan High Dam (AHD) has stopped concurrent flooding events, River Nile is still subject to low intensity flood waves resulting from controlled release of water from the dam reservoir. Analysis of flow released from New Naga-Hammadi Barrage, which is located at 3460 km downstream AHD indicated an increase in magnitude of flood released from the barrage in the past 10 years. A 2D numerical mobile bed model is utilized to investigate the possible morphological changes in the downstream of Naga-Hammadi Barrage from possible higher flood releases.

A realistic new sediment–laden water prediction computer model was developed. In this model unsteady non-uniform flow computations were incorporated. Using this model, flooding flow–sediments were simulated and compared to earlier research including hydrologic engineering centre (HEC-series) computer models. Uncertain value of parameters and errors in flow–sediment transport equation in existing coupled flow–sediment models were studied.

The difference of this connected hydraulic-hydrological model in comparison with the other hydrological models is using the complete Saint-Venant 1D to simulate flow in rivers. Results of verification of the model show that it is good enough for practice.
