An investigation was taken up to study the magnitude of heterosis for nine characters in rice viz., days to 50 percent flowering, days to maturity, plant height at maturity, productive tillers per plant, tillers per square meter, thousand grain weight, grains per panicle, and yield per plant. The base material for this experiment consisted of 36 F1s involving three cytoplasmic male sterile lines (CMS) and twelve diverse restorers in line x tester mating design along with best varietal check Phule Samruddhi and best hybrid check Sahyadri-4.

A field experiments was carried out at Horticulture Garden of the Department of Fruit Science, C. S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology Kanpur (U.P.) during 2018-19 and 19-20. Flowers are used by us to provoke the feelings of love and happiness because they have the power to make people happy and cheerful. A study was carried out to review on effect of pinching on flower crop. The number of experiments reviewed that pinching after 4 to 6 week after transplanting gives number of leaves, number of primary branches, plant spread, maximum number of flowers, number of seeds per flower, test weight and seed yield per ha with better seed quality parameters.

The results of the present investigation indicated that, different pruning treatments and fertilizer levels produced significant effect on growth and yield attributes of guava. The treatment of 45 cm of past season’s growth with application of fertilizer levels of 125% RDF (1000:500:500 g NPK/tree) recorded the significant effect on the growth parameter like plant height, shoot length, shoot diameter and number of leaves per shoot and produced maximum values of all these growth parameters with minimum days of flowering and fruit set. The maximum yield (60.41 kg/tree and 16.79 t/ha.

Horse gram is highly proteinaceous important food legume crop. The present study was conducted at IGKV, RMD CARS, research and instructional farm Ambikapur, during Kharif2019 using 24 genotypes of horse gram. Genetic analysis of biparental progenies resulted that, the traits viz,. days to 50% RWC and plant height were governed by additive gene action for improvement of these traits while, days to flowering, productive tillers per plant, 1000- grain weight, and grain yield can be improved by heterosis breeding. Main objective of the study was to evaluate rice genotypes for yield and yield related traits for heterosis to develop new breeding lines that can perform better in water stress conditions.

The study has revealed that significantly highest number of flowers per plant (28.00), highest flower diameter (7.83 cm) and highest flower yield per hectare (25.25 q) were observed by application of nitrogen at the rate of 200 kg ha-1 in combination with potassium at the rate of 150 kg ha-1 . Non-significant changes were observed in the available organic carbon content in the soil at the end of the experiment when compared with the application of nutrients before the experimentation.

Line × Tester analysis was carried out using 13 lines and 3 testers to estimate heterosis on seed yield and its contributing characters in Opium Poppy. The 39 resulting hybrids along with their parents were evaluated in Randomized Block Design during Rabi 2019-2020. The analysis of variance revealed the presence of variability among parents and crosses for the characters studied.
