The present work shows a study on the interaction of incompressible fluid flow with an artificial heart valve using fluid-structure interaction (FSI) ) simulation. The finite element method (FEM) is employed both for fluid and solid domains. The strong coupling scheme is used for the coupling of fluid and structure to satisfy the kinematic and dynamic equilibrium conditions.

In this research, a triangle nose has applied to reduce resistance acting on a large hull of the Pontoon in full scale by using the CFD, ANSYS-Fluent. An original hull of the Pontoon with and without a triangle nose at bow have been computed and compared each other results. From the obtained results of comparison from the Pontoon with and without a triangle nose, the effects of triangle nose on hydrodynamic performance and resistance acting on hull of the Pontoon were shown.

In this research, hydrodynamic performance of a cargo ship system rudder – propeller in full scale, with a different distance gap between rudder and propeller was computed by using a commercial Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) code. Firstly, the original system rudder – propeller of a 5500 ton cargo ship in full scale was simulated the hydrodynamic performance and validated CFD results.

The paper "Development a prototype of mobile laminar air flow instrument" presents research on the view toward the realization of a mobile laminar airflow system for preventing the contamination of airborne pathogens by protecting the surgical site area as well as the instrument table at low-cost. Simulations with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) were conducted to optimizing system design. The simulation results were examined and evaluated in this paper.

The findings indicate that the droplet velocity is influenced by factors such as viscosity ratio (λ), capillary number (Ca), and contraction ratio (C).
