The present investigation aims to explore potential of phyllospheric isolates on pearlmillet. Bacteria from leaves were isolated and tested for their plant growth promoting traits i.e., siderophore production, indole acetic acid, ammonia production and zinc solubilization. Three bacterial isolates were selected and studied in pothouse on pearlmillet by foliar application. Isolate JFS-5 foliar spray exhibited maximum plant height and shoot dry weight. These promising results conclude that bacterial isolates from phyllosphere and their foliar applications can increase plant growth.

A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of different doses (60, 80, 100, 120, and 140kg/ha) of nitrogen application on 100kg/ha seed rate a semi dwarf, high yielding with good quality traits on ‘DBW 17’, variety of wheat was evaluated to study the effect of 100kg/ha seed rate and different doses of nitrogen application on percent disease intensity, AUDPC, and yield of wheat. The results showed that different doses 120kg/ha nitrogen and 100kg/ha seed rate significantly out yielded the 100 kg/ha and 140kg/ha nitrogen and seed rate in seed yield.

Agronomic practices may need to be adjusted to maximize yield and quality of sugar beet. Thus agronomic package must be always modified. Nanotechnology is one of the new technologies that entered almost all sides of our lives and were used in agriculture production. Two field experiments will be carried out in the experimental farm of the Etsa region at El- Fayoum governorate, Egypt, during the two successive seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 to investigate the response of yield and quality of sugar beet cv.

An experiment was conducted at the Regional Horticultural Research and Extension Centre, Bengaluru. The effect of foliar application of different growth regulators and macronutrients on the growth of aonla seedlings was studied. The treatment with GA3 300 ppm recorded the maximum seedling height (37.00 cm), stem diameter (0.61 cm), number of leaves (42.33), fresh weight (41.83 g) and dry weight (3.16 g), while minimum was noticed in control. Correlation matrix was worked out for different characters to known the relationship between the characters.

A field study was conducted at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur during summer season of 2011-12 to explore the possibilities of enhancing the productivity of bitter gourd with better quality by foliar application of different micronutrients in view of rising temperature. Fifteen treatments were arranged in randomized block design replicated thrice. The plot size used for raising the crop was 3.0m x 3.0m and the spaying of micronutrients was done at 30, 40 and 50 days after sowing. The data were recorded on growth, yield and quality traits of bitter gourd.

The present study was carried out to understand the effect of foliar spray of plant growth retardant substances on different growth parameter of pearl millet under rainfed condition. Results indicated that foliar spray of plant growth retardants at tillering and post-anthesis stage influenced growth and yield attributing traits viz., grain yield, ear head weight, total dry matter, threshing index, harvest index, test weight, number of effective tillers were significantly higher or it was statistically at par with treatment of chloromequet chloride @ 250 ppm when compare to other treatments.
