The present study was conducted during the year 2016-17 in Mayurbhanj and Bargarh districts of Odisha state to assess the usefulness of technical interventions through Bringing Green Revolution to Eastern India (BGREI) programme in Odisha. Two blocks from each district were selected. From each selected block, 02 BGREI-implemented villages and from each BGREI-implemented village, 10 beneficiaries were selected for investigation. Thus, total 80 beneficiaries were selected as respondents for the study.

Weed management in farmer’s cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) field was carried out during 2017 to assess the weed control and yield characteristics of cassava in eight different treatments (T1-T8) including weedy check which served as control. To study the effect of integrated weed management on growth and yield of chilli, an experiment was laid out in randomized block design with nine different treatments for weed management using weedicides, mulches (straw, black polythene) and hand weeding at VRS, SKLTSHU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
