Few animal experiments and volunteer-based intervention studies have showed a controversial efect of spicy foods on abdominal obesity. We aimed to examine the association between spicy food frequency, spicy favor, and abdominal obesity among Chinese Han population in the Sichuan Basin which area eating spicy foods relatively often.

Tobacco consumption, as a worldwide problem, is a risk factor for several types of cancer. In Vietnam, tobacco consumption in the form of waterpipe tobacco smoking is common. This prospective cohort study aimed to study the association between waterpipe tobacco smoking and gastric cancer mortality in Northern Vietnam.

This paper presents a designing and implementing circuit of wireless charging of the parking management system based on Radio frequency identification (RFID) technique and STM32F103 as the control kernel. The advantage of digital modulation technique in applied radio signals is used to identify specific targets and read-write relevant data. Communication is established between the parking space reader and the onboard responder.

Alcohol consumption is a major risk factor for esophageal cancer; however, a high incidence of esophageal cancer is observed particularly among Eastern Asians, although they consume relatively less alcohol, presumably due to the high frequency of aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) rs671 polymorphisms.

In the present study, exposure assessment of Bacillus cereus associated with the consumption of street vended chicken briyani sold in Koduvalli village, Ellapuram block, Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu was assessed. Enumeration of B. cereus in chicken briyani was carried out using Hichrome Bacillus Agar, a chromogenic media by adopting pour plate technique. Data on frequency of consumption of chicken biryani by the residents were collected using a structured questionnaire. The results revealed that the Bacillus cereus count in street vended chicken briyani was ranged between 2.32 to 5.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an increasingly serious threat to global public health. The increase in antibiotic consumption is well evident which accelerates the AMR. The continuous dissemination of ‘multidrug-resistant’ (MDR) bacteria drastically reduces the efficacy of antibiotics and consequently increases the frequency of therapeutic failure. In MDR bacteria the over-expression of efflux pumps that expels antibiotics which contribute to the increased resistance by decreasing the intracellular concentration of antibiotics.

The study was carried for a Raghiely number between (3.77 - 10.8)*107 with applied heat flux between (20 - 45) Watt. The vibrational experimental measurements were carried out for different frequency ratio (0.87-1.6) and vibrational Rayleigh number ranged between (0.12 - 2.7)*107 . The results of the heat transfer inside the enclosure without vibration show a very close agreement with the published one.

Cow's milk is sought for its high concentration of animal protein and nutrients. Unfortunately, the conditions of milking, transport, packaging and marketing of milk in Daloa (Côte d'Ivoire) jeopardize its microbiological quality. Our study aimed to study the physicochemical and microbiological characteristics of raw milk (collected from pastures and sellers) and artisanal curd (nonnonkoumou). A total of 33 samples underwent physicochemical analysis. This analysis consisted of determination of pH, titratable acidity, and density.

This paper considers a mmWave system where the base station employs a hybrid analog-digital beamforming based on a subarray architecture. Based on a realistic circuit power consumption model that takes into account different signal processing steps at the transmitter, we analyze the energy efficiency (EE) of the system, which is defined as the ratio of the sum achievable rate over the total power consumption.

Heterogeneous networks (HetNets) employing massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and millimeter-wave (mmWave) technologies have emerged as a promising solution to enhance the network capacity and coverage of next-generation 5G cellular networks. However, the use of traditional fully-digital MIMO beamforming methods, which require one radio frequency (RF) chain per antenna element, is not practical for large-scale antenna arrays, due to the high cost and high power consumption.

The potential of using of millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency for future wireless cellular communication systems has motivated the study of large-scale antenna arrays for achieving highly directional beamforming. However, the conventional fully digital beamforming methods which require one radio frequency (RF) chain per antenna element is not viable for large-scale antenna arrays due to the high cost and high power consumption of RF chain components in high frequencies.

The present study was conducted to assess the behaviour of broiler birds in an open-sided house under supplemental lighting programme using light emitting diodes (LEDs) and incandescent light. To perform this study a total of 240 straight run commercial Vencobb broiler chicks were procured, distributed in four different light treatment groups i.e. Tw; white (650nm), Tg; green (565nm) and Tb; blue (430nm) light LED (3 Watt each) and incandescent light bulbs (60 Watt each) as control (Tc) in 12 pens (4x3 factorial design) and reared from day old to 6th week of age.

Diet has a very prominent role in management of renal patients. Specific nutrients particularly proteins, carbohydrate, sodium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus intake is quite detrimental. Patients on Keto- Analogues have to be very careful regarding their protein restrictions similarly during oedema fluid and sodium restrictions need to be analysed. Therefore role of food and diet has now been kept on fore fronts in various therapeutic approaches.

Tribal women play multiple roles in a family, primarily as mothers and housekeepers and also equally important roles as wage earners and agricultural producers. Tribal people are amongst the poorest population and experiencing extreme levels of health deprivation. Tribal follows very distinct dietary pattern and mainly rely upon locally available crops. Tribal women in India are at a great disadvantage due to illiteracy and ignorance. The present study was conducted in Khedbrahma and Poshina taluka of Sabarkantha district of Gujarat.

This paper presents a third order continuous time current mode RD modulator for WLAN 802.11b standard applications. The proposed circuit utilized feedback architecture with scaled and optimized DAC coefficients. At circuit level, we propose a modified cascade current mirror integrator with reduced input impedance which results in more bandwidth and linearity and hence improves the dynamic range. Also, a very fast and precise novel dynamic latch based current comparator is introduced with low power consumption.
