In this work, we carried out a study on NiTiO3 nanomaterial synthesized via citrategel method. The structural characteristics were determined by basic X-ray diffraction analysis. SEM analysis showed the surface morphology of the sample. The impedance spectra analysis was used to elucidate the dependence of complex impedance values on temperature and frequency.

Highly porous Ti matrix composites can be a solution for some of the major clinical concerns for the load bearing implants such as low tribocorrosion resistance, stress shielding, and lack of biological anchorage. In order to respond to these needs, highly porous Ti-TiB-TiNx in-situ composites were synthesized by pressureless sintering using BN as reactant and urea as space holder. Corrosion behaviour was investigated at body temperature, in phosphate buffer saline solution (PBS), by measuring open circuit potential (OCP) and cyclic polarization.

KGdF4 polycrystalline doped with the different concentration of Sm3+ ions were synthesized by hydrothermal technique. Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves of samples were measured in the range from 50 oC to 400 oC after irradiating beta, neutron and X-ray radiations. The response of TL intensity to impurity concentration and neutron dose were studied in detail. The TL kinetic parameters such as activation energy (E) and frequency factor (s) were estimated by using the method of heating rate variation.

Nonaqueous liquid electrolyte system based dimethyl sulfoxide DMSO and magnesium bromide (MgBr2) is synthesized via ‘Solvent-in-Salt’ method for the application in magnesium battery. Optimized composition of MgBr2/DMSO electrolyte exhibits high ionic conductivity of 102 S/cm at ambient temperature. This study discusses different concentrations from 0 to 5.4 M of magnesium salt, representing low, intermediate and high concentrations of magnesium salt which are examined in frequency dependence conductivity studies.

The interaction of metal oxide nanoparticles with plants has not been extensively studied. An attempt has been made to examine the potential variation in peanut plant leaves due to the application of Fe2O3 nanoparticle by pre-sowing technique and to compare with its bulk counterpart. Fe2O3 nanoparticle was synthesized by chemical route and characterized using X-ray diffraction, atomic force and scanning electron microscopy. The Fe2O3 nanoparticle and its bulk counterpart are applied to the peanut seeds by pre-soaking method at two different concentrations: 500 and 4000 ppm.

A computer program for synthesizing Japanese fundamental frequency contours implements our theory of Japanese intonation. This theory provides a complete qualitative description of the known characteristics of Japanese intonation, as well as a quantitative model of tone-scaling and timing precise enough to translate straightforwardly into a computational algorithm. An important aspect of the description is that various features of the intonation pattern are designated to be phonological properties of different types of phrasal units in a hierarchical organization.

Over many years, RF-MEMS have been a hot topic in research at the technology and device level. In particular, various kinds of mechanical Si-MEMS resonators and piezoelectric BAW (bulk acoustic wave) resonators have been developed.
