Coriander is an annual herbaceous spice plant, a family member of Umbelliferae. In India it is grown in 4,47,000 ha area with annual production of 3,14,000 MT during 2013-14 (Anonymous, 2015). This data is shortening as compared to previous statistics with respect to production, this is because of current knowledge about its characteristic association and their effects is incomplete. To fulfill these gaps, an investigation was conducted during the 2014-15 at research farm in Hisar. Data for 11 quality traits were measured and statistically analysed.

Present study was conducted during the year 2015-16 in Bastar district of the Chhattisgarh state. Chhattisgarh state has 27 districts out of which Bastar district was selected for the study. Bastar district have 7 blocks out of which two blocks namely Bastar and Bakawand block was selected for the study. Tuber crops are growing in the limited area and wider gap between the current production and potential productivity. The data were collected through pre-tested structured interview schedule and appropriate statistical tools were employed for analysis of data.

Standard approach to low default portfolio (LDP) probability of default (PD) calibration is to add conservative add-on that should cover the gap with scarce default event data. The most prominent approaches to add-on calibration are based on an assumption about the level of the conservatism (quantile of default event distribution), but there is no transparent way to calibrate it or to relate the level of conservatism to a risk profile of the Bank. Over conservative assumptions can lead to undue shrinkage in LDP and negative shift in the overall risk-profile.

Reserve risk represents a fundamental component of underwriting risk for non-life insurers and its evaluation can be achieved through a wide range of stochastic approaches, including the Collective Risk Model. This paper, in order to fill a gap in existing literature, proposes a Bayesian technique aimed at evaluating the standard deviation of structure variables embedded into the Collective Risk Model. We adopt uninformative prior distributions and the observations of the statistical model are obtained making use of Mack’s formula linked to bootstrap methodology.
