Xem 1-9 trên 9 kết quả Genetic diversity studies in chilli
  • The genetic diversity in Australian populations of Xanthomonas species associated with bacterial leaf spot in tomato, capsicum and chilli were compared to worldwide bacterial populations. The aim of this study was to confirm the identities of these Australian Xanthomonas species and classify them in comparison to overseas isolates.

  • The present investigation on mean and variability was conducted on genetically diverse thirty F2 progenies of chilli. The observation were recorded on the following traits, plant height, branches per plant, days to 50% flowering, fruits per plant, fruit length, fruit girth, individual fresh fruit weight, individual dry pod weight, fresh fruit yield per plant and dry pod yield per plant. Significant difference was observed among the crosses and also within the crosses for all the traits.

  • To study the genetic divergence of chilli, 48 genotypes were evaluated in Randomized Block Design with two replications at the experimental field of College of Horticulture Bagalkot. The genetic material exhibited wide range of genetic divergence for all the 20 characters investigated. The cluster I constituted maximum number (20) of genotypes, cluster II had 5 genotypes cluster- III, IV and V with 7 genotypes, cluster VI and cluster VII had only one genotype each. Cluster-VI and cluster-V showed maximum inter cluster distance whereas the distance between clusters IV and II was least.

  • The present study was undertaken to understand the genetic diversity of Chilli found in Manipur using RAPD primers. Twenty (20) primers were screened, out of which 9 primers gave polymorphic bands which were used for further analysis. The polymorphic information content (PIC) values ranged from 0.2 (OPB-15) to 0.45 (OPW-04) with an average of 0.35.

  • Study on Genetic Diversity was conducted with 16 chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes at the field of Vegetable Research Block of V.C.S.G. Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Ranichauri Campus Tehri- Garhwal during Kharif2014. Genetic diversity among 16 chilli genotype was worked out usingD2 statistic. On the basis of genetic distance, these genotypes were grouped into 5 clusters. Cluster I was largest, consisting of nine genotypes followed by cluster II with four genotypes while cluster III, IV and V contained single genotype each.

  • A study on genetic diversity was conducted with 29 Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes through Mohalanobis’s D2 analysis. Cluster analysis was used for grouping of 29 chilli genotypes and the genotypes were fallen into six clusters. The maximum number of 22 genotypes was included in cluster-I followed by cluster-III with 3 genotypes, Cluster-II, IV, V and VI had one genotype each.

  • Cytoplasmic Male sterility (CMS) is increasingly utilized for hybrid seed production of chilli (Capsicum annuum L.). Eight CMS and eight maintainer lines were studied for genetic diversity using ISSR markers. The ISSR analysis revealed substantial polymorphism in chilli. The results of the present study indicated the efficiency of ISSR markers in investigating genetic variability at molecular level, which is important for detecting variation of different genotypes of chilli and its utilization for further breeding programme.

  • Increased productivity of dry chilli with appreciable fruit quality is the present need in major growing areas to promote export from our country. The present investigation was undertaken to identify important selection indices, and to analyze the genetic divergence of collected germplasm for identification of diverse parents for spice chilli hybridization program. Different components of genetic variability for 15 growth and yield component traits were determined employing 45 genotypes evaluated in autumn-winter season of 2015-16 in Randomized Block Design with three replications.

  • The experimental material comprised of 27 advance breeding lines and six varieties including ‘Surajmukhi’ as standard in randomized complete block design with three replications during summer- rainy season 2017. Genetic diversity studies grouped 33 chilli genotypes into six clusters. Maximum genotypes were placed in cluster I (16 genotypes) followed by cluster II (7 genotypes). Highest intra-cluster distance was observed for cluster IV followed by cluster II while maximum inter-cluster distance was observed between cluster V and VI followed by IV and V.
