Master's thesis of Science: Selection of highly specific aptamers to detect Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium pseudograminearum

The aim of this project was to select highly sensitive and specific aptamer capable of detecting Fusarium graminearum (Fg) and F. pseudograminearum (Fp) species. The aptamer-based testing allows early detection of fungal infection in the field. Fungi are known to change their activity and may often undergo genetic changes. The classic "gene for gene" theory explains the relationship between host plant cultivars and fungal pathogenic races.

Doctoral thesis summary: Evaluation on genetic diversity and identification molecular marker for Vietnamese native Dendrobium species

Research objectives: Thesis was the first studied methodically systematic assessment of genetic diversity by morphological indicators combined with molecular markers, identification of Vietnamese native Dendroium species based on the ITS sequences. The results of the thesis have significance in the classification, the conservation service, and selection and breed new varieties; these will be contributing to improve Vietnam orchids.
