Geographical Indications

This paper aims to review the current situation of the Vietnamese geographical indication (GI) system from both the legal and practical perspectives. It examines how the top-down approach influences the effectiveness and sustainability of the whole system.

Global competition has intensified geographic repositioning of supply chain activities with implications for the economic prosperity of specific regions and geographies affected by such shifts. This study examines the relationship between the level of corruption and economic growth using the supply chain and ARDL bounds test method. The data used are GDP, the level of corruption, foreign direct investment, government spending and inflation from 2000-2018. The results of the study indicate a negative and significant impact on the level of corruption on economic growth in the long run.

The aim of this research is to produce information on decision making in relation to fertiliser use. This information can be used in the Game Theory model to calculate optimal strategies on phosphorus fertiliser application amounts for the individuals within the group. If the results indicate a benefit to the individual and the community as a whole, and are seen as practical, then on a catchment wide basis this should lead to changes in management practices that will minimise phosphorus pollution of the Hopkins River catchment’s waterways.

A major earthquake (Mw=7.0) occurred in the Samos Island on the 30th of October 2020 at 11:51 UTC. Swarm satellite magnetic data were analysed for 153 days before and 46 days after the earthquake. Preearthquake and postearthquake anomaly search is constrained within the Dobrovolsky’s Circular Area. Fundamentally, there are 5 steps for processing satellite magnetic data to interpret the earthquake preparation phase. The first step is converting geographical coordinates to geomagnetic latitude and longitude.

With the development and widespread application of remote sensing technology and geographic information systems (GIS), the use of satellite images as well as GIS software is becoming more and more effective in monitoring, monitoring and assessing drought.
