Ebook "3D, 4D and predictive modelling of major mineral belts in Europe" presents the results of the major EU project Promine. For the first time there is now a European database available on mineral deposits, as well as 3D, 4D and predictive models of major mineral belts in Europe: Fennoscandia (Skellefteå and Vihanti-Pyhäsalmi), the Fore-Sudetic basin (Kupferschiefer deposits in Poland and Germany), the Hellenic belt in northern Greece, and the Iberian Pyrite belt and Ossa Morena zone in Spain and Portugal.

The dataset used in this study is the Maui 3D seismic volume from Taranaki basin, offshore New Zealand. A stack of 400 continuous stratigraphic horizons is produced from the Maui RGT model, even for complex areas where classical methods failed to achieve or would take a long time to complete. Integrated with seismic attribute mappings such as RMS amplitude and/or spectral decomposition, the horizon stack enables to navigate the seismic volume in stratigraphic order.

We present a new 3D geologic model for the architecture and Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the Tuz Gölü Basin, a major sedimentary basin in the Central Anatolian orogenic plateau. This model is grounded on 7 depth-converted seismic reflection profiles in combination with the analysis of backstripped subsidence curves, isochore maps, and a palinspastically restored cross-section. Two stages of basin formation are detected during Cenozoic times.
