The present experiment was conducted in on 220 cultivars of mustard to measure the correlation path analysis of agro-morphological traits on yield. Observation of ten agromorphological traits viz. Days to 50% Flowering, Plant height (cm.), No. of primary branches, No. of secondary branches, Days to maturity, Length of siliqua, No. of siliqua / plant, No. of seeds/siliqua, 1000 seed weight (gm.), Yield/plant (gm.) were recorded to analyze the data.

An experiment was carried out to see the effect of plant growth regulators on yield and quality of guava cv. Allahabad safeda. Low production and poor quality of fruits are major constraints in guava production in Assam. The results showed significance difference among the treatments. The maximum yield (37.13 kg/plant), pulp weight (173 g), Juice content (63.17 cc), TSS (12.50 0Brix), ascorbic acid (135.30 mg/100gm), total sugar (10.13 %), seed weight (6.67 gm), sugar-acid ratio (33.13) and lowest titrable acidity (0.

A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of different doses (60, 80, 100, 120, and 140kg/ha) of nitrogen application on 100kg/ha seed rate a semi dwarf, high yielding with good quality traits on ‘DBW 17’, variety of wheat was evaluated to study the effect of 100kg/ha seed rate and different doses of nitrogen application on percent disease intensity, AUDPC, and yield of wheat. The results showed that different doses 120kg/ha nitrogen and 100kg/ha seed rate significantly out yielded the 100 kg/ha and 140kg/ha nitrogen and seed rate in seed yield.

India is a predominantly agriculture based economy country. Annual population growth rate of the country is nearly 1.8 % and if per capita consumption of rice is expected to be 400 gm of rice per day then the demand for rice in 2025 will be 130 m. tones. For obtaining the high yield with seed planting equipment or planter, it is very essential to drop the paddy seeds in rows maintaining accurate seed rate and seed spacing with minimum damage to seeds during metering.

Molecular characterization is an essential step of risk/safety assessment of genetically modified (GM) crops. Holistic approaches for molecular characterization using omics platforms can be used to confirm the intended impact of the genetic engineering, but can also reveal the unintended changes at the omics level as a first assessment of potential risks.

Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is a globally important oilseed crop with highly-valued oil. Strong hybrid vigor is frequently observed within this crop, which can be exploited by the means of genic male sterility (GMS). We have previously developed a dominant GMS (DGMS) line W1098A that has great potential for the breeding of F1 hybrids.

Application of transgenic technology for commercial crop production is faced with biosafety issues. These concerns are based on the argument that recombinant DNA-based transgenic technology differs from traditional breeding in that totally new gens using potentially risky technology are transferred between widely unrelated organisms and the location of these genes on the recipient genome is random, unlike when gene transfer take place through conventional breeding.

Most genetically modified (GM) plants contain a promoter, P35S, from the plant virus, Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV), and many have a terminator, TNOS, derived from the bacterium, Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Assays designed to detect GM plants often target the P35S and/or TNOS DNA sequences.
