Green cob yield

The Treatments consists of 2 levels of Potassium viz. K1(40 kg K2O/ha), K1(50 kg K2O/ha) and 4 levels of Iron viz.10 and 20 kg/ha as basal and 0.1 and 0.2% as foliar application. There were 9 treatments each being replicated thrice and laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results revealed that treatment T8 (50kgs potassium + 0.2% iron) recorded maximum Dry weight, Number of cobs per plant, cob length, cob girth , cob weight without husk, cob yield without husk, Green fodder and B: C ratio.

Plant density and nitrogen management treatments exhibited their superiority at the highest levels of plant density and nitrogen management over the other levels under chemical sources in enhancing green cob yield. The lowest cob yield was associated with non-supply of fertilizers.

A field experiment was conducted at S.V. Agricultural College Wetland farm, Tirupati to study the performance of sweet corn cultivars under varied times of sowing in Southern Agro-Climatic Zone of Andhra Pradesh during rabi 2011. A field experiment was conducted at Instructional-cum-Research (ICR) Farm, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat during the summer season, 2017 to study the yield attributing characters and yield of baby corn under spacing viz., 40 cm x 20 cm, 40 cm x 25 cm, 45 cm x 20 cm and 45 cm x 25 cm in main plot and nutrient management practices viz., 120-60-60 N-P2O5-K2O (kg/ha), 75% of N of I1 + 25% N replaced by VC and 50% of N of I1 + 50% N replaced by VC in sub plot under split-plot design with three replications.

The present study was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ganjam-II during 2015 and 2016 in rabi in three villages Khalingi, Jura, Sunathara. The KVK scientists have conducted frontline demonstration in sweetcorn with the active participation of farmers with the objective to demonstrate the improved technologies in crop. A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station (MPUAT), Borwat farm, Banswara (Rajasthan) during the rainy season of 2018 with objective to evaluate the performance of genotypes under varying plant spacing and fertility levels. The treatment consisted with two spacing viz 60x30 cm (55,555 plants/ha) and 60x 25cm (66,666 plants/ha, two fertility level and four sweet corn varieties viz. ASKH-1, Madhuri, Priya and Win-orange. A field experiment was conducted at the Coconut Research Station, Balaramapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, during the summer season to work out an economic nutrient management schedule for baby corn intercropped in coconut garden. The present investigation was undertaken during Kharif 2018 at the college of Agriculture, Vijayapura, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (Karnataka). The objective of this study was to study the effect of different vegetables intercrops on growth, yield and economics of sweet corn and vegetable intercropping systems. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications and ten treatments.
