The study was carried for a Raghiely number between (3.77 - 10.8)*107 with applied heat flux between (20 - 45) Watt. The vibrational experimental measurements were carried out for different frequency ratio (0.87-1.6) and vibrational Rayleigh number ranged between (0.12 - 2.7)*107 . The results of the heat transfer inside the enclosure without vibration show a very close agreement with the published one.

The convective heat transfer coefficient was improved up to 23.84% by using TiO2 nanofluids instead of the base fluid. It was found that TiO2 nanofluid with a volume fraction of 0.3% (at a mass flow rate of 0.0689 kg/s) will provide the maximum efficiency enhancement in the PTSC (9.66% higher than the water-based collector). Consequently, the absorbed energy parameter was found to be 10.3% greater than that of the base fluid.

This study investigates the effect of various types of pre-treatments in drying behaviour and quality of slices green mangos in convective drying. This experimental study was carried out with a constant air velocity and thickness (3±0.5 X 103 m) of „dasheri” variety of mangoes, having Julian shape in a laboratory scale dryer at 50, 60 and 70˚C drying air temperatures. Five chemical and one moist heat pre-treatment was done prior to drying to analyse the effect on drying behaviour and quality of final product (aamchur). Dried samples were evaluated for sensory and quality attributes.

During the pre-monsoon months (March-May) in Nepal, severe thunder and hailstorms cause significant property and agricultural damage in addition to loss of life from lightening. Forecasting thunderstorm severity remains a challenge even in wealthy, developed countries that have modern meteorological data gathering infrastructure, such as Doppler Radar. This study attempts to isolate the specific and unique characteristics of a hailstorm that not only might explain its severity, but also suggest forecasting techniquees for future forecasting in Nepal.

The primary theme of this communication is to employ convective condition of mass transfer in the theory of peristalsis. The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) peristaltic transport of viscous liquid in an asymmetric channel was considered for this purpose. Effects of Ohmic heating and Soret and Dufour are presented. The governing mathematical model was expressed in terms of closed form solution expressions. Attention has been focused to the analysis of temperature and concentration distributions.
