Spondylocarpotarsal synostosis syndrome (SCT) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by short stature, fused vertebrae and fusion of carpal and tarsal bones. We present a novel FLNB homozygous pathogenic variant and present a carrier of the variant with short height.

To explore the influencing factors of perioperative hidden blood loss in intertrochanteric fractures. We undertook a retrospective analysis from January 2016 to October 2019. Clinical data of 118 patients with intertrochanteric fractures were included. Hidden blood loss was calculated from the haematocrit changes before and after surgery using the Gross equation based on height, weight, and haematocrit (HCT) changes before and after surgery.

An experiment was carried out during the year 2014-15 to 2016-17 in the polyhouse of AINP on Agricultural Acarology to estimate the losses due two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Tetranychidae: Acari). The estimated loss in brinjal due to two spotted spider mite, T. urticae on different plant growth characters like plant height, number of branches per plant, number of fruits per plant and fruit weight ranging between 8.24 to 33.65, 7.84 to 13.35, 26.94 to 64.93 and 15.29 to 81.10 per cent, respectively.

Weirs are overflow structures used to measure flow or to control the water elevation. In sharp crested weirs sharp edge in the crest causes the water to spring clear of the crest and thus accurate measurements can be made and results beneficial to tail end farms in a field channel. Hence, sharp crested weirs are used for experimentation. Powdery mildew and Rust are major diseases of pea of worldwide distribution. Powdery mildew and Rust is an airborne disease. Powdery mildew is a particularly damaging in late sowing or in late maturity varieties. It is caused by Erysisphe pisi. An experiment was laid out with two treatments viz., unprotected and protected plot with plot size of 100 m2 each and further each treatment was divided into 13 quadrates with 30 X 10 cm spacing in Randomised Block Design (RBD). The present investigation was carried out at Horticultural Research Station, Mandouri, BCKV, Mohanpur, West Bengal, India to study the influence of plant growth regulators on growth, flowering, yield and quality of Hybrid Tea rose cv. Bugatti. Chickpea is a cool season pulse and suffers severe yield losses when exposed to higher temperatures during reproductive phase. Stable chickpea production will depend on the release of new cultivars with improved adaptation to drought and high temperature. Twenty five breeding lines of two crosses JG 11 x JG 14 and JAKI 9218 x JG 14 were assessed under timely and late sown situations. Numerical simulation have been carried out to observe and predict the mechanisms of stationary mixed flows in a free surface channel combined with a closed conduit. This study has been conducted with a wide range of discharge values, based on a free rectangular channel (4.5x0.98x0.50 m) at the upstream combined with a closed rectangular conduit (4.5 m length), located at the end of the channel. The height of the conduit is fixed at 100 mm and the conduit width is varied to form several other geometrical configurations.

The concrete material in structures is likely to be exposed to elevated temperatures during fires. In this paper, an experimental investigation is carried out to study the effect of different exposure temperatures and times on the mechanical properties of ordinary concrete. Cylinders with a diameter of 100 mm and a height of 200 mm were used as concrete specimens, which were tested at the three elevated temperatures of 200, 400 and 600°C for various times from 1 to 6 h.
