High Interest rates

This article studies the influence of macro factors on bankruptcy risk of real estate businesses listed on the Vietnamese stock exchange. By using the Logistic regression model with 53 real estate businesses listed on the Vietnam stock exchange in the period 2012 - 2022, it shows that high GDP growth of the economy reduces the risk of bankruptcy of real estate businesses. Meanwhile, the higher the interest rate, the greater the risk of bankruptcy that real estate businesses face.

The study aims to identify the capital structure determinants of the listed construction firms in Vietnam. The determinants of capital structure are factors affecting firm financial leverage, including firm profitability, size, growth rate, fixed assets, liquidity, interest coverage and state ownership. The study is based on a data of 74 listed construction firms in the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange over the period 2014-2018. It is found that listed construction firms in Vietnam have high level of financial leverage and mainly rely on short-term debts.

This study investigated the different factors influencing the repayment of agricultural credit in Jobner branch of Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank. For this purpose, purposive sampling was adopted and 50 borrowers were selected from the list of defaulter borrowers from the branch. Through the pre-tested schedules, necessary informations were collected from the defaulters as well as from the bank employees regarding actual causes behind overdues. The objective of this work is to identify and examine the risk premium of the exchange rate; then, to determine the factors that cause it, and to measure its variance by using a GARCH-M model. Some theoretical models are developed by taking the exchange rate risk premium as dependent variable and other macrovariables, political events, and market conditions as independent ones. There are three different exchange rates ($/€, $/£, and ¥/$) used, here, for the measurement of the risk premium and the empirical test of the model.
