The weak cohesion of the sediment materials often causes localized surface slumping phenomena with significant amplitudes, extending up to several meters, disrupting the equilibrium trend of sedimentation and leading to an accumulation of sediment towards the dam intake culvert. These observations provide insights into the dynamics of the reservoir surface sediment environment, while also demonstrating that current reservoir operation and exploitation conditions can ensure the longevity and safety as per the design of the Cua Dat Hydroelectric project.

In this study we were motivated with the two research questions: (1) how much is the total value of forest hydrological services for hydroelectricity production? and (2) as forests belong to different forest owners, how to identify the level of payment for a specific forest stand? We focused our analysis on the two most important forest hydrological services for hydroelectricity production, water provision and sedimentation prevention.

Research the interactions between floating solar power plant and reservoir with great working height
Vietnam has many reservoirs with great potential for developing solar power on its surface. The operation of reservoirs with a large working height will increase or decrease the sun exposure of the panels, affecting the output of the floating solar power plant. In addition, the reservoir environment helps reduce the temperature, increasing the energy output for solar power plants.

Remote sensing is very useful to collect information about water resource and to manage it by satellite data. In this paper, study has been carried out for Ramganga reservoir using Landsat 8 imagery for spatiotemporal mapping. The imagery has been collected from 2013 to 2018 for pre-monsoon and post monsoon season. The reservoir, under study, is presently used for hydroelectric purpose and irrigation. Landsat-8 images which were cloud free has been taken for the study.
