  • In this work, we report a simple method to prepare the Fe-Ni alloy nanoparticles by reducing NiFe2O4 spinel ferrite nanoparticles at 600 °C in a hydrogen atmosphere. Structural analyses of the Fe-Ni alloy by XRD diffraction showed that the alloy sample is a complete single phase after the deoxidizing time of 12 hours.

  • In this paper, a fast, cheap, simple, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method based on high spin peroxo-Fe(III)-EDTA complex in the alkaline medium was developed for the determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in real water samples. The purple-coloured complex with a maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 525 nm was formed. Various parameters such as type of stabilizer reagent and its concentration, reaction time, Fe(III), EDTA and NH3 concentration were optimized. The method was confirmed with the Beer’s law with a molar absorption coefficient of 267.36 L mol−1cm −1 in the 8.

  • In this paper, we present the results of the study on the magnetic properties of LaNi5-xGex (x = 0.1 - 0.5) alloys based on extending the Langevin’s classical theory of paramagnetism. The calculation results show that the number of magnetic particles decreases and the size of magnetic particles increases as the concentration of Ge in LaNi5 alloy increases.

  • Farmed ruminants form a very large portion of total anthropogenic methane emissions globally. Methanogens present in ruminal flora primarily uses Hydrogen [H] produced during anaerobic carbohydrate fermentation. Ruminal microflora can convert plant fiber unavailable for humans into microbial protein available for absorption for ruminants with biological value 70.

  • Plants with dense suberized root hair and low suberization of cortical cells display lower stomatal density and open stomata which signify the higher demand of water absorption. Guaiacol peroxidase play remarkable role in suberin biosynthesis on epidermis, cortex accompanied with increased root diameter, and endodermis cell walls with hydrogen peroxide spray treatment under normal conditions for plant growth i.e. November. Hydrogen peroxide decreased the in-gel activity of the peroxidase in roots of both wheats.

  • In this work, we study the influence of the substitution Si for Ni for the magnetic properties of LaNi5-xSix (x = 0-0.5) alloys. The structure of the alloy was tested by X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. The magnetic properties of the samples were carried out using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) system. The results showed that when Ni was substituted for Si in alloys and after hydrogen absorption, LaNi5-xSix alloys retained their CaCu5 structure. The susceptibility (χ) of the alloys decreased when substituting Ni by Si increased.

  • In this study, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) removal rate by different alkali and oxidative absorbing solutions (i.e., NaOH, Ca(OH)2, NaOCl, Ca(OCl)2, and water) was compared using a packed absorption column. The results showed that NaOH solution was the suitable absorbent based on its removal efficiency, mass transfer coefficient, and overall enhancement factor.

  • In this report, we studied the effect of electrolyte concentration on the electrochemical and magnetic properties of the LaNi4.6Ge0.4 alloys used as the negative electrode in Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Effect of electrolyte concentration on the electrochemical and magnetic properties of the LaNi4.6Ge0.4 alloys was investigated by the measurements of magnetization curves and charge-discharge performance of the material.

  • In the Pt/-Al2O3 catalysts, the distribution of uniform, small particle-size Pt metal on the carrier with high surface area of metal will result in high catalytic activities and will economize noble metals. The distribution of metal depends on the technology of preparation and postpreparation. The influences of the impregnating, drying, calcining and reducing on the distribution of metal have been studied using by physic methods, scan electronic microscope (SEM), transmission electronic microscope (TEM), and the hydrogen distribution has been measured by the method of hydrogen absorption.

  • The oxide reduction diffusion (ORD) procedure has recently been applied in synthesizing hydrogen storage materials AB5 for Ni-MH batteries. Starting from metal hydroxides and La oxalat precursor, superfine powder alloys LaNi5, LaNi4.5Co0.5 and LaNi3.87Mn1.13 were obtained by this “soft-chemistry” route. Chemical composition, structure and morphology of alloy phases were examined by different analysis techniques such as AAS, EPMA, X-ray and TEM. The H2-absorption and desorption behavior of crystalline products was determined by Sieverts’ method.

  • Peripherally Acting Medications Orlistat (Xenical) is a synthetic hydrogenated derivative of a naturally occurring lipase inhibitor, lipostatin, produced by the mold Streptomyces toxytricini. Orlistat is a potent, slowly reversible inhibitor of pancreatic, gastric, and carboxylester lipases and phospholipase A2, which are required for the hydrolysis of dietary fat into fatty acids and monoacylglycerols. The drug acts in the lumen of the stomach and small intestine by forming a covalent bond with the active site of these lipases.
