"Standard Specification for Zinc Coating (Hot-Dip) on Iron and Steel Hardware" covers zinc coatings applied by the hot-dip process on iron and steel hardware. The hot-dip galvanizing process consists of parts being immersed in molten zinc for a sufficient time to allow a metallurgical reaction between iron from the steel surface and the molten zinc, resulting in the formation of Zn/Fe alloy layers bonding the coating to the steel surface.

An enzymeless electrochemical sensor for detection of low amounts of H2O2 with the aid of Ag nanoparticles supported on conducting poly(vinylferrocene) (PVF) film was developed. Experimental results revealed that contribution of Ag nanoparticles led to remarkable improvement by means of reduction potential and reduction current. Influence of experimental parameters (i.e. polymeric film thickness, concentration of Ag precursor, immersion time in precursor solution, reduction time, and reduction potential) were investigated.

Condensation is cumulative process for the total solid by evaporating the water content in the product. The method of condensation varies with product to product preparation or by the facility of the processing plant. The three type of condensation methods like open pan condensation, vacuum pan condensation and combination of vacuum pan and open pan methods were used to condense the pre standardized milk (5% fat and 8% SNF) up to two folds, followed by the addition of 13% sugar for preparation of the kulfi mix.

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of solution concentration, immersion time, process temperature and slices thickness on osmotic dehydration of apple slices. The osmotic dehydration characteristics such as water loss (WL), weight reduction (WR) and solid gain (SG) were studied for sugar solution of (50 and 70 ºBrix) at a temperature of (30 °C and 50 °C) for 8 hours of immersion time.

The experiment was conducted during 2017-2018 at the department of PostHarvest Technology, Kittur Rani Channamma College of Horticulture, Arabhavi, Karnataka to standardize the dual colour tinting technology in gerbera and carnation by using 6 different food dyes combinations (Red and Yellow, Orange and Green, Yellow and Pink, Red and Green, Blue and Green, Orange and Yellow) along with control at five per cent concentration along with three different immersion time (7.5, 10 and 12.5 hrs).

In this study, raisin was produced from pre-treated grapes by tray drying method. Grapes were cleaned and soaked in a different type of solutions such as potassium carbonate, olive oil, soy lecithin, and sugar concentration for different immersion time. The pre-treated grapes were then dried in a hot air tray drier at 50°C and airflow 1.0 m/s. Results showed that drying time was varied for pre-treated grapes. The shortest drying time of 61 h) was obtained for those grapes which were dipped in 6.7 % potassium carbonate solution for immersion time of 5 min.

The aim of this study was to study the use of a beads-based biofertilizer in crop production. The study focuses on the production of a beads-based biofertilizer containing spores and vegetative cells of Bacillus megaterium (B. megaterium) VACC 118. It also evaluated the quality of the biofertilizer and its effects on the growth and yield of cabbage. The results show that the density of B. megaterium in the beadsbased biofertilizer reached 4.34×1010 CFU/g and did not change after 6 months of storage. The degree of swelling of the beads was 1.

This study simulated a control rod assembly (CRA), which is a part of reactor shutdown systems, in immersed and fluid flow conditions. Corrosion inhibition of organic clay nanofil5 in NaCl 0.1 M solution was studied by polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The clay concentrations studied were between 1 g/l and 5 g/l. The clay nanofil5 plays both anodic and cathodic corrosion inhibition. The corrosion inhibition of clay nanofil5 depends on the concentration. The results obtained by two methods were in good agreement and showed that the highest inhibition efficiency was obtained with the nanofil5 concentration of 3 g/l.

Another method for the detection of live trypanosomes in blood is by the use of ion exchange columns. The ion exchange gel is packed into plastic syringe bodies and the trypanosomes are collected in sealed Pasteur pipettes. After centrifugation, the pipette tip while immersed in a very shallow water bath, is examined with a 20 X objective. Trypanosomes may be seen undulating in the fluid within the pipette tip. The method is claimed 98% accurate, but requires more apparatus, preparation and skill development time.
