  • To Lich River is well-known as a main drainage river and plays a vital role to the landscape distribution of Ha Noi city, which is currently polluted due to improperly untreated wastewater flow. Thanks to QUAL2K model, the variation of the river water quality has been forecasted by 4 particular scenarios. In the first scenario, the whole generated wastewater along To Lich River is not totally collected and treated. Scenario 2 is similar to scenario 1 except that To Lich River receives an addition of diluted water of 5 m 3 /s from Red River.

  • The present study was undertaken during Krishi Mahotsav programme to find out the reasons for less adoption of improved gram production technology among the farmers of Rehli block of bundelkhand region during the year 2014 and 2015. It is found that majority of the respondents (59.90%) had medium level of adoption, followed by those having low (24.56%) and high (15.54%) levels of adoption for the improved practices of chickpea cultivation. Results revealed that there were number of reasons for low adoption of improved chikpea production technology.

  • Biomedical waste has been one of the major headaches of any hospital. Eighty percent waste generated from the hospitals is general waste and the remaining twenty percent comes under the biomedical waste categories. If this waste is not properly managed, it is dangerous for people, animals and environment due to its high harmful potential. In the present investigation, aerobic bacteria like Escherichia coli (32%), Staphylococcus aureus (28%), and Bacillus spp. (10%) were isolated from the biomedical waste.

  • Chhattisgarh, the 26th state of the Indian Union came into existence on November 1st, 2000. In Chhattisgarh, maize is a kharif season crop and second most important crop next to paddy in terms of both area and production.
