The article aimed to find out the main factors affecting trade finance activities in order to give out reasonable measures to enhance the activities, which generate “fee income” - the majority of non-interest income for the bank. By the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method, the results showed that the diversification of services, especially UPAS L/C, has had the greatest positive impact on promoting trade finance.

This study aims at the impacts of diversification strategies on the Vietnamese bank’s performance. Using a sample of 13 listed banks from 2010 to 2019 and System Generalized Method of Moments (Sys-GMM) regression method, the author finds that income diversification results to lower bank profitability, as measured by the bank’s return on assets and return on equity.

The paper aims to investigate the impact of income diversification on commercial banks’ profitability in Vietnam. Using a panel data set of 33 Vietnamese commercial banks during the period from 2006 to 2020, the empirical analysis shows the more diverse in revenue sources, the higher banks’ financial performance.

This paper analyzes the attitude of farmers towards crop diversification in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. Census of India (2011) reported that about 54.60 per cent of the population involved in agriculture and allied activities. The total food grains production in the country was 284.83 million tons during the year of 2017-18. Crop diversification is one of the best options to increase income of the farmers and also leads to food, nutritional and ecological security.

The study was conducted in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, the objectives of this research are to study the economic viability of different farming system and to identify the constraints in adoption of improved production practices in different farming system. The finding of the research revealed that When comparing the difference between net income realized under rainfed farming system and irrigated farming system, the net income of Rs.686 was realized in irrigated system over rainfed farming system.

An attempt was made to develop a standardized scale to analyze the attitude of farmers towards livelihood diversificationusing summated rating methods suggested by Likert and Edwards. The attitude scale developed was found to be highly reliable and valid. The final attitude scale consisted of 15 statements and this scale was administered to 30 farmers in Chikkaballapura district in Karnataka during 2017-2018 to analyse their attitude of farmers towards livelihood diversification. These farmers were personally interviewed using schedule.

The results of the analysis show that rice consumption in Indonesia influenced by the number of households, rice prices, cooking oil prices, chicken prices, participation in rice consumption, age and social assistance. Price elasticity and income elasticity is inelastic, but income elasticity not statistically significant. There are indications that food diversification is happening, can be seen from consumption decline due to social assistance which provides alternative choices of consumption.

This paper investigates the effect of investments in subsidiaries, joint ventures and affiliates (affiliate investment) on firm growth. Using both static and dynamic panel data models with a sample dataset of 2,056 firm-year observations on Vietnam’s stock market from 2008-2015, the study finds that increasing affiliate investment in prior periods had a significantly positive impact on asset growth and net income growth (but not sales growth) of the firms in subsequent periods.

Farm diversification may also be used as a risk precaution and stabilize farm income. To enhance productivity, alleviate environmental and management constraints, and enhance farmers’ income in the rice–wheat cropping system of the sub-humid Purvanchal region, Uttar Pradesh, new approaches that are more productive and sustainable need to be developed.
