The experiment was conducted to study of biology of H. armigera in relation to abiotic factors (temperature, relative humidity, rainfall etc.), to evaluate the efficacy of some botanicals and organic compounds against H. armigeraand workout the economics of different treatments with Incremental Cost Benefit Ratio (ICBR), H. armigera on field pea in Rabi 2018-19.

An experiment was conducted for two consecutive years during rabi season of 2014-15 and 2015-16 to manage the onion thrips using three treatment modules viz., M1- IPM module, M2- Farmers’ practice and M3-Untreated control. It has been observed that the IPM module was the best in achieving the maximum leaf growth and bulb yield in both the years (2014-15 and 2015-16) followed by farmers’ practice module.

Field integration of various fungicides, phytoextracts and essential oils (alone and in combination) as seed treatments and foliar sprays significantly reduced mustard white rust disease caused by Albugo candida (Pers.) Kuntze, over untreated control, along with enhanced seed and straw yields and better ICBR. Based on performance merit, the best treatments were Metalaxyl 35%SD- ST @ 6g/kg + Metalaxyl 4%+ Mancozeb 68%WP- FS @ 0.25%>Metalaxyl 4%+ Mancozeb 68%WP -FS @ 0.25% + Azadirachta indica @ 20%>Metalaxyl 4%+ Mancozeb 68%WP- FS @ 0.
