Influence of natural zeolite
-
In this study, structural, thermal, and hydrogen (H2 ) adsorption properties of natural analcime-rich zeolite tuff (A) from Trakya (Turkey) and that of acid-treated forms investigated. Analcime mineral was treated with 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 M HCl solutions at 80 °C for 5 h.

The fluorination reaction is strongly influenced by the nature of the intrapore cation. Intrapore Brønsted acids facilitate fluorination of the framework by in situ ion-exchange, releasing the acidic ions to the zeolite surface.

In this study, the natural zeolite is used for aiming the following objectives: investigate the influence of soil pH and the content ratio of natural zeolite and contaminated soil on the immobilization of the exchangeable Cr in contaminated soils assess the correlation of the exchangeable Cr with soil pH and EC, and evaluate five forms of Cr existence in contaminated soils after amended treatments.

In this study, the adsorption behavior of some low-cost adsorbents such as peanut husk charcoal, fly ash, and natural zeolite, with respect to Cu2+, and Zn2+ ions, has been studied in order to consider its application to the purification of metal finishing wastewater. The batch method was employed: parameters such as pH, contact time, and initial metal concentration were studied. The influence of the pH of the metal ion solutions on the uptake levels of the metal ions by the different adsorbents used were carried out between pH 4 and pH 11.

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of natural zeolite on the performance of laying hens. One hundred and eighty 37-week-old Babcock B-300 hens were fed with a diet containing 0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 g clinoptilolite/kg in an experiment consisting of 36 hens per treatment during a 4x28 days experimental period.

Sorption of the cations NH4+, Al3+, Fe2+, Mn2+, and Mg2+ in powdered zeolite and its mixture with soil was monitored. More than 90% of the observed cations were fixed in the zeolite in the first few minutes of the laboratory experiment, which is a very fast speed of sorption, and the ammonia cations reacted fastest.
